Ibis budget Charleroi Airport

6/10 Okay

"Unfortunately it's a bit too far to walk from the Terminal (and quite well hidden) so you probably need to call for a taxi - extra 13 Euro's. Build this into your budget and you're probably better staying at a better quality hotel further away (in Charleroi if you're adventurous!). No a/c in the room which meant open windows and listening to aircraft (it is an airport hotel after all). Room was small but had en-suite facilities."

"We arrived at 10:30pm into Charleroi. An uber was €12 but we walked to the hotel shuttle section outside of the airport and waited with other families for the hotel shuttle. Two taxis turned up and told us they were the hotel shuttle. The taxi driver was very rude and huffing that he had to move his things off the passenger seat for me to sit. When we arrived at the hotel I paid at the hotel desk for the shuttle which was over €20. This price is absolutely extortionate and completely inflated in comparison to the cost of an uber. You automatically expect a hotel shuttle service to be free or at least subsidised for guests but it was a complete rip off. No prices displayed at all beforehand and it was so disorganised at the shuttle waiting area at the airport it was also impossible to have asked for a price beforehand. Very disappointing and quite frankly felt scammed. Hotel room itself was nice and cannot fault it. breakfast was okay. DO NOT USE THE HOTEL SHUTTLE!"

"I can honestly say this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in for cleanliness. The bath was covered in black hairs and clearly hadn’t been cleaned, we ended up having to put a towel in the bath to shower because it was disgusting. There was black mold on the walls in the bathroom. The shower is either scolding hot or cold and will change mid shower which is unpleasant. There was what looked like wet tissue dried onto the ceiling and walls. The air con unit worked for about 20 minutes before it poured out a load of water straight onto the desk below so we couldn’t use it - 30 degree temperatures outside as well! Awful - wouldn’t stay here. The staff were helpful however."

"Nous avons adoré notre séjour à cet hôtel ! Le personnel est serviable et très gentil. Les chambres sont très minimalistes, ce qui fait qu'elles ne sont pas les plus confortables, mais c'était suffisant pour nos besoins. L'emplacement est également incroyable. Seul bémol, le wifi fonctionne plus ou moins."
