"the place was just okay — the Air Conditioner is very old & has that “old smell” to it. Could’ve been cleaner. There was an incident where the San Diego Police Department was called. About 15 cop cars were there & we were not notified regarding this. If you have kids please be aware. Also — $20 a night for parking.. wasn’t good, just okay."

"Unfortunately they overbooked and were not able to give me a double bed room and had to go for the king last minute. Also, it was barely 10:45AM and I already had a man knocking hard on the door as I was changing getting ready to leave the room just checking to see if I was almost leaving, mind you checkout is at 11AM. I then went to the checkout desk and no one was there, I had to step into the dinning area and after a few minutes a girl came out, very snarky like I was supposed to know that key drop off was exiting the parking lot...Also, lots of noise in the early morning, I understand renovations are happening but not worth the price. Room looks very nice and fancy, bed was comfortable...overall the place could do better as far as customer service and treating guests with a lot more consideration."

"While staying here, I was impressed with nearly everything The Sofia had to offer from the gorgeous rooms, the hotels view, helpful staff, and even complementary goodies in the lobby. I will say I was not a fan of having learning that you must pay to park here as it’s not included in your reservation. I also felt the property lacked more amenities for its guests like a hot tub or even a sort of breakfast voucher for their new restaurant downstairs. Overall, me and my plus one had a fantastic opportunity to stay here. 7.5/10"

San Diego Mission Bay Resort

"Very family friendly resort ! We enjoyed the pool and the restaurant with our daughter’s family and our young granddaughters. The hotel was able to provide connecting rooms which was wonderful and kept us connected the entire time, they also accommodated an early check in for a small fee and a late check out , also for a small fee which was very nice when traveling with small children. Property is a little older and could use some refreshing but was clean and well maintained and the staff was very friendly, bar tenders were fabulous! Parking was super convenient and close. Walking path near the beach provides access to two close neighborhood parks. Would recommend and would return."
