Comfort Inn Ames - 埃姆斯

No frills hotel, but wasn't expecting it to be either. I was just looking for a nice, clean place to lay my head overnight with my family. No complaints there...room was well maintained, pillows were comfortable and the free breakfast was just what we needed to start our day.

Hotel was clean. They advertise hot breakfast - but it is just sausage and preformed egg circles that are zapped in a microwave. Likely good for a business traveler that stops for coffee and juice on the way out of the hotel.

The stay was ok, the hotel is in need of remodeling, although it was clean, just gave that out of date feeling. The pool / hot tub was very clean but had very strong chlorine smell that left eyes burning before we got in. Hotel service was great! Bathrooms are just a bit to tight for me just no room to move around. For that reason i would look some where else next time.

The hotel was okay - it was clean, but dark and felt very "old" - towels thin, etc. For a quick night it was just fine - but if any longer, I'd pay a bit more and get a nicer place. Location was fine.

The pre-pay online was very convenient. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was a slight cleaning fluid smell when we entered the room, but that went away. The air conditioner was somewhat noisy. The staff was friendly and took care of us quickly. Overall, our experience was good for a one-night stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Took the grandson aon and stayedhere for the pool but he never ent swimming but this hotel was close to Reiman Gardens and that was our main sight to see. Breakfast was great. -- air conditioner in the room a little noisy but had to be on.

We only stayed over night for a campus visit to Iowa State, but everything from the check-in to the check-out was very nice. I had no problems at all and the staff was very pleasant. The price was right and the hotel was comfortable and quiet.

Great breakfast! Nice pool area and comfortable rooms... But the halls smell smokey and the rooms are very dated. The value for the price we paid was right on though. We just stayed here for one night because it was the halfway point during our roadtrip.. and it was fine but I would probably not stay if it was for a family vacation.

Easy to find & easy/quick in and out. Rooms were clean & staff friendly. Nice morning breakfast before we left. Pool looked clean although we didn't use it. Quick & easy room to get a good night's rest while in Ames for business.

I was in town for a conference, and having stayed there before, was confident of a good room, and was not disappointed. Clean, comfortable, and quiet, especially given the close proximity of busy highway 30.

Bathrooms are very small. Pool/whirlpool were closed when we stayed. I explained we booked with them for that reason to spend with our daughter before sending to college. We were not offered any discount for this.

We stayed at this hotel last minute on a drive through IA. I got on hotels.com and read quickly through the reviews and it looked pretty good for the price. I was not impressed at all. Also positive was […] I make the reservation on hotels.com sitting in the parking lot of the hotel and walked in and Comfort Inn already had my reservation. The hotel itself is dated and worn. The room itself was standard Comfort Inn. Large enough and comfortable. The major issue we had was the smell. Air freshner or cleaner, not sure which but it was awful. We had to keep our window open (90 plus degrees outside) just to breathe in the room. It's overlooking the highway, so when we went to bed we closed the window, but I lasted about 10 minutes and had to reopen it. At one point I came close to going out and sleeping on our van because the smell was so overpowering. Breakfast was good. Overall, a somewhat rundown Comfort Inn....and very smelly! 阅读更多信息

Driving up to the hotel I was a bit worried. No fancy reception area, but once in the room we were pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfortable. Free internet and adequate room size. The hotel was fine. The coffee at breakfast was really bad. The highlight of the trip was the mexican restuarant that is a jaywalk away from the hotel. The best service and great food. If the restuarant was not so close to the hotel, the overall experience would have been a downer.

The hotel is fairly new, the rooms were very clean and the bathroom very clean, except a small mount of mold on the bottom of the shower curtain. A small mount of traffic noise from the interstate, so bring a box fan to run. Nice pool, only a few miles from restaurants, etc.

We came from Europe and our flight from Chigago to Des Moines was canceled, so we could not get to this hotel at the first day.
