Still one of the best values in Carbondale. It's not fancy. The staff make up for any negatives. I appreciated in particular two young people, one man and one woman, who opened the breakfast area just a little early so I could get about my business

The room was clean, but damaged shower covered a leak with a plastic cup. Breakfast was very poor. Not much of a selection. As we were leaving, I wanted to fill my water cup. When I tried, the water didn't work. When I pointed it out to staff, they said that they turned it off at 9 am. It was 9 am.

I had to listen to a dog bark and someone beating on a door for about 3 hours. Once that was done then I heard people above me stomp in the room for another hour or so. I went out to the desk 2 times and kinda was ignored. Mentioned again when checking out and was dismissed again

this hotel is the most disgusting,nasty, an rude staff ever. the room was nasty the furniture looked it came from a junk yard,nothing in the room but a couple towels in the bathroom, no coffee or creamer,or cups, but i guess the free cockroaches in the room an all on the 2nd floor,an in the dinning area for the breakfast,we skipped to do the bugs, yuk. an the doors did not lock on the exterior of the building so anyone could come an go as they wanted. the the best was ever floor smelled like marijuana in the halls but this was a smoke free hotel. this place need shut done ,an reported to the health board of Illinois. DON'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL
