This hotel was very convenient to the airport - with a short complimentary shuttle ride. The room was clean and updated. Very comfortable beds, clean room, wi-fi, refrig and microwave in room. We like the high sink in the bathroom, and the in-room coffee and tea. Every spring I travel with my elderly mother to visit my daughter, and we always stay here. We visit with the terrific lady who works in the breakfast room. I loved that the room were so clean, and particularly loved that they wash the duvet covers between guests. Staff was very nice. The only sub-par part of the stay was waking up in the middle of the night to noise from my neighbors' room both nights of my stay, the walls are not as thick as would be optimal. Otherwise, a great stay!

We got a hotels.com deal on this hotel and it was so much more than expected. We will stay here again on future trips to Portland. It was easy to get to university, Fort Williams , really convenient location.

We had a group with 4 rooms and all of them were ready early. Staff was really great and everything was very clean. Would definitely go here again!

The stay was nice and staff were friendly but they really need to convert to Queen size beds instead of the doubles. Also the room would be more spacious if there were less bulky furniture in it.

We were impressed with the comfort of this stay. We were in South Portland because my husband was having back surgery. He couldn't eat anything after midnight the night before and the night clerk gave me cereal, milk, and fruit so he could have a light, late night meal. It is in a very convenient location. The room we were in was a little small but ok. I thought there was a restaurant and bar in hotel but there wasn't. There was a bar walking distance though. So my sisters & I walked across the street. This hotel was fine for what we needed for one nights stay. They also offer free continental breakfast.

Room very clean and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast okay, no better or worse than anyone else's. A little hard to find in the maze of roads around the mall, but very good value. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Very nice room.Good size TV with wide range of HD channels.Microwave and Fridge in room a bonus though we did not have need of them on this visit. Convinent to Mall for shopping and close distance to restaurants.

Morning breakfast was great. The ladies kept the food supplied well and did it with a smile. They were very sweet and accommodating to all. The front desk and cleaning service always had a smile and a greeting. We stayed on a Saturday and then came back on a Monday, due to a an overnight trip to Bethel. Chocolate chip cookies on arrival, friendly staff, duvet covers that are freshly changed for each guest stay, nice variety of breakfast items, and a microwave and small refrigerator/mini bar available in the room all provided the comforts of home. We stayed during a blizzard and the hotel was great. The morning we left it was still snowing and there was already 2 ft. A snow drift had buried our car and the hotel snowblowed it out in record time. They did a great job and we will be staying again!!

I spent about an half-hour on hotels.com checking hotels in the area, and reading reviews. I settled on Hampton based on some of the reviews, price, and proximity to New England University. Unfortunately, neither hotels.com nor the hotel itself advises you that the lobby is undergoing renovation. So, banging started at 8 a.m., breakfast relocated to […] a smaller location with a limited selection, and inconvenient entrances to the building. The staff tried, but there was only so much they could do. The room was clean, and the bathroom nice, but the room seemed much smaller and more crowded than pictured. The write up on this hotel include a warning that they are working on the lobby area, and boy were they! I think the rate was adjusted, and the staff did a good job compensating. I appreciated the notice. However, the big problem for me was that the heating unit in my room cycled on and off constantly and loudly and kept me from sleeping. The hotel was clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was above average. It's a bit of a drive into Portland, maybe 10- 15 minutes dependent upon where you are going, but easy to navigate. There were plenty of restaurants in the surrounding area.

for a hotel that was not new, the place was clean and well maintained. It snowed the night before and the parking lot was plowed early in the morning. Breakfast was good and the fitness room was just right.

Great place to stay staff very friendly But something needs to be done about the breakfast area its very cold when the doors open to enter or leave the hotel. Cools the entire room off and it seams like someone is entering or leaving all the time
