You pay for what you get - beds, rooms and amenities all ok, quite modern. Good shower and bath (decent water pressure) and a good, clean, comfortable bed and the coffee was nice.

Served its purpose, bathrooms are a bit grimey, there some weird marks on the drinks area. Surrounding area and outside is very unpleasant. Staff were great and overall ok for a one night stop.

A very nice Hotel, efficient in every way. An interesting variation to most Hotels is the free Hot Drinks from a barista type machine in reception. The Hot Chocolate is recommemended. This replaces the traditional kettle in the room. Interesting taking the drinks to your room in the lift!
Breakfast was good quality food nicely presented and unlimited. Choice of cereals, juices, fruit and all the things you would expect of an English or Continental Breakfast. Available early gives a chance for an early start. Close to Swindon Railway Station it is an open and safe walk of around 7 minutes. There is.a bus station outside (not.noisy inside) with buses to many locations. The shops are just a couple of minutes away. My room had Iron and Ironing board as well as a safe. More power sockets than I would have expected and a bath/shower ensuite. The staff were efficient and dealt with everything professionally. Hope one day I will have reason to stay again.

It’s an old property that’s been 3 different hotels. There is massive construction outside property roads, pedestrian accesses closed.
They have done a good job in trying to provide decent lodging. 24x7 coffee in lobby etc. staff very friendly and helpful.
On my first morning morning what appeared to be a homeless person walked in helped himself to buffet breakfast and sat at one of restaurant tables. Staff did not react. Later in week staff asked for room numbers each morning which they had not done previously ……..

Overall great service! I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast and tea/coffee options. I would have appreciated options for snacks or light food (perhaps a vending machine) that one could pay for in addition to the pizza drinks meal.

Immaculate Hotel
Lovely hotel, very clean, in fact immaculate. Good choice of breakfast. brilliant lift service. Also easy key card to open the door to the room.

Overal a great stay
Overal a great stay and breakfast option was perfect. However, I wanted a cold shower but was unable to as only option flowing in the pipes was hot lava. Asked maintenance to look into it but was not resolved.
Off site parking overall is decent, would be better of it was free but will get reimbursed anyway for it.
There was also a fan and no air conditioning in the room so got really hot.

Paper thin walls so if want sleep go elsewhere
To be honest I expected a lot more from thistle. The room in this hotel have paper thin walls so if you want peace and quiet then find another hotel. One side we had someone who was snoring which kept us awake, late evening and very early morning our other neighbour plaid Rap styled music which probably could be heard 4 rooms down the hall. We did tell reception who weren't particularly interested. The area around it looks like a building site, if you can see out of the filthy windows that is.

Hotel also seems to be used for housing people in need area around not nice could not walk out in the evening without being worried

Good staff and location
Okay value for money. Staff very helpful - especially Annabel. Reasonably quiet and convenient. Not a nice area but safe and easy to find.

City Centre location with convenient and good discounted parking. Decent and most convenient breakfast provision. Most friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are poorly insulated, so was hearing noisy conversations, next door showing etc, late into early hours of the morning.
