Good thing it was only one night......bed was very uncomfortable. The room was not clean as I've seen dust and old stains all over the room.

While the hotel looks good from the outside the state of the room I was in (141) was not the "deluxe suite". I had thought it would be. The room itself was clean enough, but everything in this room is hard. Bed: rock hard and stiff as a board of wood. Couch: stiff and lacking of cushioning. Chairs: hard as wood. Towels: in desperate need of some softening. […] Showerhead: laughable at best and stuck at one setting, also only flops to one position pointing straight down. For looking so new on the outside, everything in the room looks dated and from the 1970s. I would recommend a truck stop and sleeping in your car over this hotel. Guest service is non-existent after a certain time at night requiring guests checking out late at night to "leave the room keys on the counter". The hotel is in a great spot, sadly it's dated style and lack of decent...well anything make it one of the worst hotels I've been at in a long time. My Stay AT your hotel would have Been nicer if It wasnt for the púbic HAIR in our bed. We had to go and Get our own sheets to sleep on from the front Desk because It was obvious THAT THOSE sheets had not Been changed...

We did the "Expedia Unpublished Rates Hotels" for a one night getaway and ended up here. Was a little worried due to other reviews. The gentleman at the front counter was very friendly and DID ask us if we forgot anything like a toothbrush, mouthwash, etc that we may be in need of. Like others said - the only things in the room were TP, bar soap, tissues, […] and a single serving of coffee (although there is coffee and a "grab n go" breakfast in the lobby). Nothing else like most would have. We normally take our own toiletries so this wasn't an issue! Things did seem clean (room smelled like bleach and cleaning supplies) but the property was run down. There was a lot of chips/holes in the cabinets in our room and just other signs of wear throughout the hotel. Would I pay full price for this hotel, no, but for the deal we got it was fine. Bed was very comfy and my husband enjoyed the muffins and coffee in the morning. We're not big breakfast people and didn't need a pool so the extras weren't needed. The room smelled of curry. I love curry but prefer to sleep in a curry-free zone. The upper floors had families shouting in their native tongue. This hotel, like many of the suites in the area, are long-term (year or more) stays for the people living in them. This is fine if you will be staying long term and do not mind the noise and smell of food at […] ALL HOURS of the night. The toilet was also orange, there was no toilet paper and the wall was peeling off. The hotel was overpriced. There was not even a small complimentary shampoo/conditioner in the shower, no kleenex, no decaf coffee or tea bags, nor was any available.The girls working the desk were not friendly and had no personality. I will not stay again.

The check in process was horrible. We arrived early--1 o'clock and staff told us the room would be ready in a half hour. We waited til 1 1/2 hours and it was still not ready. Came back at 3:30, room was ready---lugged all of our stuff in and it WAS NOT ready. Waited another hour and it finally was ours! The staff was pretty nonchalent about our experience […] and I was not impressed by them at all. The hotel was close to where we were headed the next day so that was good. The property has definite signs of age and maintenance issues e.g. bathroom fixtures, paint and trim, cabinet molding fell off, etc. Room was large and bed was comfortable. The biggest surprise was that there was no daily room servicing. This was not mentioned in anything I saw in previous reviews or in descriptions of the property. It is definately not a 3 or 4 star hotel. But it is convienent to Auburn hills and Rochester. They could use a business center with at least one PC for guests to use.. The rooms were a bit cluttered and hard to move around a bit. Remove the chair and ottoman would have helped.

Very convenient location to Oakland University. Nice for visiting college student & pets are welcome. Able to cook in room with small kitchenette. The hotel looks & smells clean, but when using the pull out sofa bed, more than once we have had stained matteresses & crumbs & food found inside the sofa seats. An exterminater was working when we checked […] in which made me think they may have some problems, but at least they are dealing with them. The best part of the hotel was the location very near Oakland University where my daughter needed to be for registration & orientation. Also the price was very reasonable. The detour traffic getting back to the hotel was difficult with the construction going on in that area though. It was nice to have a mini kitchen for our stay. But because there was […] cooking in the hotel rooms there was a constant odor that filtrated down the halls & into our room. That was very disappointing.
