Worse super 8 ever, I've stayed in lots and most are basic but nice this was not. Apart from the beds being comfy there is nothing else good to say. Checkin staff the most unhelpful ever, key thrust at us, no mention of where to park or which direction the room might be in! Building not just old but filthy, the worst smelly filth I can describe. I would neither stay here again, nor recommend this hotel to anyone I know. The room was small and cramped, the bed was very lumpy, the carpet was dirty and stained, and the rollaway cot we requested was practically like sleeping on a bed of springs with a thin pad over it. There were either guests or staff (hopefully guests) shouting and talking loudly […] at all hours of the night and wee hours of the morning right outside of our door, waking our toddler several times. Our room smelled bad, but at least the window opened all the way so we could air it out. The non-smoking rooms are too close to smoking rooms. The hallways smelled like cigarettes.

My bed had hair and blood on the sheets which was awful. The front desk lady did make it right by changing both beds, but it would have been better if the room was clean when we came. Also we had to have urine cleaned from the wall next to the toilet which was disgusting.

The staff at Motel 8 were the best! They went out of their way to make us comfortable and accommodate any special needs we might have had. They were friendly and helpful. The hotel is fairly old, but it is kept clean and to me, that is the most important.

Overall my stay with Super Eight was good. The main things I liked about the hotel are the location. It’s in walking distance to many restaurants, shops and the bus station. Out of the five days I was there, housekeeping only clean my room twice. I feel if you are going to ask a person to leave a tip then you should do your job right. Also, I think it’s nice that the hotel allows pets to stay there, but there should be a limit. On day when I was eating breakfast a guest had two dogs with no lease. The front desk attendant was professional, but he seemed to be the only staff member. I had to pick up an iron and ironing board from the front desk myself. We came up to the area to participate in a bike race and didn't feel like camping because they were predicting rain. The hotel was fine for the price. The room looked a bit worn and could use some updating but it was warm and dry.

The hotel was ok, but not as good as other hotels of this brand in which I was staying. The door on the side of the hotel was unlocked, and a homeless peron was sleeping not far away from the hotel. My wife was afraid that the homeless person could walk in and sleep in the hallway. The location of the hotel was great.

We stayed in this hotel just to sleep over on our way elsewhere. It is really conveniently located off the NYS Thruway. Problems started when we arrived. first they over booked our room. i booked two double bed, we got one king size. so they gave us folding bed FREE OF CHARGE!!!!!! they screw up and than they give us free bed!!!! The hotel was very easy to find and was close to the downtown area. But, the room was very dirty - the kind of dirty that can't be remedied by the best housekeeping staff. There were rust-colored splatters on the wall by the sink that we determined might be blood, the carpet was disgusting, there was mold lining the space where the wall meets the floor. […] This hotel very much needs some remodeling/renovations. The king-sized bed was lumpy, pillows and blankets were too thin, and towels were stained (though, they were probably clean). Customer service was functional - the folks at the front desk were not very attentive and could not provide information about the local downtown area restaurants. I would probably not stay here again, unless absolutely necessary. To be fair, I'm the kind of person who has stayed in Sheratons, Ws, Hyatts, and boutique hotels all around the world, so I've had a broad base of experiences with hotel qualities. But, I've also stayed in plenty of Holiday Inns/Express, Comfort Inns, Super 8s, and Clarions all over the country. 2nd recent stay at a Super 8 and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality at this location. It's a good size hotel and tghe noise level was very quiet, especially for a Saturday.
