The pool was out of commission which we knew ahead of time and was no big deal. A little farther off the freeway than we wanted but not bad. The elevator was tiny and the walls in our room were thin. Breakfast was about what you would expect at this price point. All in all not a bad experience. I felt safe in the neighborhood.

We saw a couple guests complainjng about the cleanliness or size of their room. Ou room was exactly as we expected. Hotel is run down and my biggest issue is it smelled like someone was smoking in a nearby room. The breakfast was decent, easy to grab. The price was good comparatively in the area. The staff were nice and we saw people cleaning the lobby, the hall way, rooms, but it still smelled like smoke. Maybe they need to enforce no smoking better or just do a good deep clean if it's old smoke smell, not sure which.

Do not stay here! We checked in and were greeted by cockroaches when we opened the room door! There was one in the doorway and one in the bathroom. We told the front desk and he said he wouldn’t support a refund and cancellation because I made a choice to leave the hotel. Between the hotel manager and hotels.com no one has been willing to support a refund. Very disappointed that no party will take responsibility and make this right.
