Good value hotel in outer Cannareggio but with Vaparetto station at Santa Avise just three minutes walk. Breakfast very poor quality with possibly the worst coffee in Venice. Having said that, it's a very peaceful location and it benefits from being far removed from the main tourist areas.

Very nice and comfortable hotel right on the canal. You can take a water taxi to the door which was very convenient. The architecture was superb. The breakfast was delicious and had very diverse choices to suit all tastes. The staff - all of them - day or night- were helpful, attentive and extremely professional. We had a wonderful stay.

The hotel was very nice, as was the staff. It is located a bit far from all of the excitement, but if you don't mind a good walk then that is ok. The breakfast was a bit expensive but the closet cafe was about two "blocks" away and a pedestrian bridge away. In a quiet residential location away from the hussle and bustle. Nice escape at the end of the day. Very close to the Vaparetto at St Alvise. Unfortuanetely we had to move rooms on the 2nd night as we were near the reception and suitcase wheels on marble can be LOUD. No problems with the move request. Breakfast at the hotel was superb, cooked or continental […] and as much as you needed to set you up for the day. would definately stay here again and would reccomend it if you want some peace and quiet at the end of a busy day in the tourist areas. We were very pleased with this hotel. The hotel is in a very good position, only a few minutes away from the nearest waterbus stop of S.Alvise, only a few stops from the bus and train station stops. In daylight and with a good map it's probably nearly as quick to walk to the Rialto Bridge and Saint Mark's Square as it would be to ride on the waterbus. […] The S.Alvise waterbus stop is very convenient for visiting the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello. We bought a 7 day travel ticket with the journey from the airport to Venice for 54 euros each and were able to make good use of it. You get 7 days from the time you first use the ticket. There are plenty of reasonably priced restaurants within a few minutes walk of the hotel. The Reception staff and Breafast Room staff were extremely helpful. The room was cleaned to a high standard although there were some marks on the curtains. We were concerned about the air conditioning having read reviews posted earlier in the year, but can report that it worked very well. Breakfast was available from 7.30 - 11 am. The hotel is very clean with large comfortable bedrooms. the bathroom was spacious with a seperate shower cubicle. Air conditioning was on all the time unless you opened the bedroom windows this was lovely as it was very hot during our stay. Breakfast was from 7.30-11am. Fortunately, this hotel is away from the center yet within walking distance from the central train station and the main tourist attractions. It's also a two minute walk from a ferry station so you can easily hop on and visit other parts of venice and other islands. Cannaregio is a longish walk from train station and from major sights...both an inconvenience and a benefit. This hotel was quiet and the area was mostly tourist free--you just have to hoof it to get to things, which is fine. A converted monastery, the place has a nice vibe with a lovely garden. Very satisfied the hotel was clean and quiet. The lofts in the room added a feel of a suite. The staff was super friendly And helpful. ( we saw how the staff in another hotel spoke to a guest- no comparison ) very close to the Jewish ghetto. The staff went out of their way to accomadate our shabbos needs. Highly recommended.

A little overpriced but the nicest management and perhaps the best breakfast buffet I had in my two weeks in Italy. A little out of the way but if you find the vaporetto back way to the attractions (management was very helpful in this respect too) you will survive. The Residenza Cannaregio is conveniently located close to the vaporetto stops in San Alvise or Madonna dell'Orto. The hotel is nice and new with a beautiful courtyard. The rooms are bi-level, with the bathroom, closet and sofa and TV on the first floor and the bed and another TV on the second floor. The breakfast buffet offers a variety of fresh fruit, […] scrambled eggs, cooked ham, prosciutto, cheeses, pastries, cereal, juices and coffee. They have two espresso machines which were malfunctioning one morning when we were there for breakfast but they brought in a maintenance guy right away to fix the problem. From the hotel, it's about a 10- to 15-minute to walk to Strada Nova, 15 to 20 to Rialto and 20 to 25 mins to St. Mark's Square and 10 mins to Sta Lucia train station. We chose this hotel for its proximity to public transportation (especially to and from the airport) and it's location in a not-too busy section of Venice. I have only two minor complaints - the air conditioning in the bedroom cannot be adjusted to a more comfortable temperature so it got very warm in the bedroom (for our taste anyway). Second, the water pressure in the shower was not as I would have liked. We were not that bothered to raise any complaints with these issues so we let it pass. We had a very good experience at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone who wants to stay away from the crowded touristy sections and don't mind a lot of walking. 阅读更多信息

Very nice hotel in the Cannaregio. Not too far from the St. Alvise vaporetto stop. Wonderful staff, very kind and accommodating. The first night we got there, we wanted a drink in the bar, which was going to close in 25 minutes. The bartender happily made us drinks and when we started chatting it up with some other folks, happily stayed open an extra […] hour and kept making drinks. Can't say enough good things about the place. The only negative is that as you can see on a map, it is quite far from the "major" sites in Venice, which also has its benefits (less tourists, less nose, etc.). We had a wonderful short break in Venice marred by the overheated room in which we stayed. The management informed us that they were unable to turn the heating down and that the air conditioning was not due to be switched on until a later date as this was "the law" We were unable to change to a different, suitable room and consequently made the mistake […] of opening our bedroom window for a few seconds in order to reduce the heat. As a result we were eaten alive by mosquitoes and consequently unable to sleep for the awful itching made so much worse by the overwhelmingly hot bedroom! The staff were helpful and gave us several mosquito deterrents to plug into the sockets but these proved of little use .They also gave us a fan but as this was so noisy it defeated the object when trying to sleep! It is a pleasant hotel with some helpful staff, but if we were to stay again we would ensure that our room was on one level and not one where the bed is on the upper mezzanine area. This obviously means the sleeping area gets very warm, as heat rises. Also the bathroom was in the sitting area on the lower floor of our suite which was a nuisance at night as the stairs are very steep..There is no lift at this hotel and the stairs in the suites are not suitable for anyone with a mobility problem. The staff is friendly and helpful - as there is no restaurant, the staff took care of dinner reservations for us. Their restaurant recommendations were excellent.
