Nestled within a secluded valley high in the Cumbrian
Fells, yet only minutes from the M6, The BEST WESTERN
Shap Wells Hotel is a comfortable and traditional hotel

long drive along a private road, with breathtaking and
rugged scenery in every direction, sheep and cattle
along the way, a pretty waterfall, and a trickling
stream running by the front door. Whatever your ideal
activity, be it long strenuous walks or gentle strolls,
you will experience the peace and serenity of breaking
free from the madding crowd and return to a warm
welcome and comfortable surroundings. For our business
guests we offer a fully equipped business centre with
seven meeting rooms to accommodate from eight to 180,
in addition to our Birkbeck Restaurant, which is ideal
for larger groups. With ample free parking, outstanding
views and the space and tranquility that the rural
surroundings provide, our guests return to us time
after time.

Hotels.com 住客于 2012年07月10日做过点评是很好的度假小屋。房间干净，主人也很友善。不足之处是距离火车站有点远，路上提着行李上坡很辛苦。距离湖边也是差不多同样的距离（走路10~15分钟），一路上风景还好所以也还可以接受。

"Ideal for lakeland walks and general northern situ"
The hotel itself is fine, howveer the cleanliness and standard of food could be improved, the room was lovely however some blood in sink and hairs on surround from previous guests. Otherwise fine. The food is basic and was served cold.Hotels.com 真实住客点评

"Surpisingly good."
The service and room were fine - except for the noise of children through the locked interconnecting door. Dinner was very good value and service in the restaurant was excellent. Hotel surroundings were very pleasant. Would stay again.Hotels.com 真实住客点评

"Overnight Stay Good Choice"
Our experience here was good but limited as we arrived very late and left very early so basically just slept here. Our room seemed newly decorated and had the facilities you might expect for the price. The shower temperature control was very dodgy. Fantastic location and very rural and quiet and close to the M6 (satnav advised!). We didnt eat or drink […] here. However hotel staff very helpful. Hotel was very nice in a quiet secluded area, ideal for walks and quiet breaks.
