Grand Royale London Hyde Park - 伦敦

我发现这家酒店是一个标准合理，超值的酒店。前台员工专业，而且当我们报告我们房间外面有漏水后，迅速的处理了。房间尺寸合理，但是卫生间有一点偏小！！仍然是在一个好位置，值得，而且总体上我想这里是在伦敦住几天的好地方，到地铁非常方便，而且如果我自己来伦敦，我会再住在那里。唯一的抱怨就是对我的喜好来说，晚上房间有一点太冷了。

这家酒店位置就在Hyde Park旁边，靠近交通设施，商店和餐厅。员工很棒，而且房间配备的好，但是“单人”房真的符合了老英国的说法，空间不够一只猫转身。我理解规模经济，但是有时候可能做得过度了。

大厅漂亮，而且非常华丽。尽管房间相当小，足够让人开心而且看起来相当值得。不幸的是，我的房间在酒店的后部，房间整个后面的墙基本上都是窗户。窗户上的百叶窗式半透明的（而且一个坏了），能透过路上周围所有的灯光。我的房间从没有暗过。在加上时间变化，那对我的生物周期是个大破坏。我几乎根本不能入睡。卧室需要暗！我到伦敦出差，所以一天开会过后，我只是想回到酒店休息一会儿，然后到附近吃饭。这意味着我在Queensway吃饭，这是一个极其粗鄙的路。所以，也许，对于我来说应该去个有不同环境的地方更好。

We were stuck in a Basement room. Very small. we could barley unpack 2 suitcases at one time. A view of a brick wall all for over $200!

The staff at this hotel were great. I wanted to spend day in London so they kept my bags at no extra charge. The lights in the room were a little different to operate and I felt hotel staff at check in should have notified me. All in All I would definitely stay there again.

Great location and beautiful architecture both inside and out. The room was clean but a bit small. Modern and fine for a short stay. Not wheel chair Friendlyl. The road side room can be little noisy from traffic. But the location is perfect if you want a happening place.

The online pictures accurately reflect the amazing atmosphere of the lobby and hotel bar at the Grand Royale Hyde Park. There's a wonderful sitting area including a window seat and free internet with the dark wood, leather furniture, chandeliers and stained glass windows to make you feel like you're in Downton Abbey. The bar used to be a small theater […] and is equally plush. Once you head up the elevator the atmosphere shifts to one more typical of a small non-chain London hotel -- efficiency. We stayed in a queen-sized room and it was just big enough to fit the furniture with such little room around it that even a small person has to turn sideways to get past items. Other than the size, however, the room was very nice and clean -- updated modern furniture and bathroom fixtures, a nice TV. There was no mini-bar or any other extra amenities with our room, but it was a great place to just get some rest after a long day in London, and you can use the lobby if you need a little more breathing room. The location was perfect for us, on Hyde Park, close to Kensington, and one block from the Queensway tube station that will take you straight to many popular areas. Other stations for other tube lines are nearby as well. We did have to change tube lines a few times to get to certain attractions, or walk about 45 minutes (through Hyde Park - a nice walk!) to get to the Buckingham Palace area, etc. but the area surrounding the hotel had a few legitimate cafes as well as some tourist shops. 阅读更多信息

It was situated on very busy noisy road no double glazing. Our room had lots of stairs to get to the bed not easy to carry cases up. The noise from the old floorboards is not good after being kept up all night by the antics of the couple above us. Super small rooms even for London standards. Full size bed not queen as described. Basically full bed in room and that is it. Barely any room around the bed to walk around. Almost every time in lobby a guest was complaining. The hotel seems to put hotels.com and online bookings in worst rooms. Saving the best rooms for those who book with the hotel […] direct. Room a bit small, but sufficient for our 12 hour stopover, did peak in a Club room which was a lot more spacious. Loved the public areas, staff very polite. Great transport links, 2 London tube stations within a few mins walk offering several different lines. Will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed staying at Grand royale. It is a great location and covenient for all tube travel and availibility of different food and taxi, money exchange and good place for a traveller. Rooms are little smaller and all staffs are good except few with attitude. I had four nights stay and everything went fine but the last day morning I had little argument […] with a lobby staff regarding controlling hot air in the room. When I requested my concern, what she said was not an appropriate answer." You have to wait until 11 AM until our maintainace Manager comes who switch the air hot to cold, One more thing she said"Don't raise your Voice, It will not solve the problem and wait until we do it." It was really rude to get for an American traveller, here we seldom behave likewise. Her name is Anca. hotel was a pleasant surprise. Located close to two tube stops. Several choices for dinner. Staff was great. Bed was comfortable, room typical small size for London. We had 2 rooms and stayed 3 nights.

Location is great - near Kensington Garden, 15 mins from Paddington, 30 min transfer to Heathrow. Rooms are nice. Lobby has old-fashioned wooden style.

Pleasant staff gave me an upgrade to a club double. Though very, very small, the room had everything I needed. Would not be comfortable for very large people, but it suited my needs really well. Very helpful and pleasant staff.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. I have stayed at many hotels in London, and for the price, this was fantastic. It is a really beautiful old hotel, and although the room was a little small, it didn't feel cramped like most London hotels. I would absolutely stay here again, for business or fun.

i liked the hotel and area fine, however, the window in my room was broken (literally pulled away from the frame at the top) and it was a bitter cold, very windy night. The wind and noise of the road came right in but I was too tired to ask to be moved. The heating made up the difference for the most part. original room was fine but the wardrobe was badly designed/installed which meant there wasn't enough room to hang shirts or jackets from the hanging rail which was very odd. I raised this with reception who moved me to a larger room with better wardrobe space.

Not unpleasant stay in general. Quibbles: Rooms were quite small, had to stand on the steps in the room in order to open the door as it swings inward, bathroom did not have a shower curtain, the shower guard was only about 10 inches long, so did not prevent water from flooding the bathroom floor. Do not what ever you do stay in any basement rooms unless you want a six am early morning call as they throw the laundry down the steps directly outside your room ....Not sure that was a queen sized bed more like a standard double Basement windows seriously in need of double glazing

Hotel is around the block from the Bayswater tube stop, very convenient. The neighborhood is quiet, near some restaurants and a shopping mall. The lobby is ornate and the rooms are modern. All pictures that I saw online were accurate. The room had just enough to space walk around the comfy queen sized bed, so its small. Like step over your suitcase […] to get into bed, small. There is a wardrobe with some hangers but the wardrobe is about 6 inches deep, so you can't hang up clothes and shut the door. The bed had some hairs in it, mirrors with fingerprints, dirt smudges on the light switches and bathroom door. So it was more dirty than I expected. The shower, which had good water pressure and heat, has no curtain but a 6 inch glass partition and water can splash out easily. The room above us had issues with this and water dripped into our bathroom. It's a no smoking hotel, but our floor and room smelled smoky many of the nights we were there. The room key card also deactivated itself everyday. The wireless internet is only in the lobby. Wired internet is in the room and cord is included. Hair dryer is in the desk drawer. No lock on the pocket door into the bathroom and no deadbolt on the room door. When telling the front desk about the smoke or key issues they were dismissive, saying that just happens sometimes. 阅读更多信息

Our room was in the basement. Really small as many hotel rooms in London. The shower emanated sewer smell. After asking to change it they told me there were no other rooms of that price category. After opening the windows the smell went away but not my anger.

(1) the room was too small; (2) desk staff did not seem to have the authority to discuss amending the terms of our stay in include breakfast ... we wanted to know how the inclusion of breakfast would increase our daily cost; (3) the bathroom was clean and comfortable ... the water was hot; (4) one night we were awakened by the strong smell of something […] burning (it smelt a little like electrical wiring) ...when I approached the desk, the night staff advised that staff who were on duty earlier had noticed it, gone outside to see (or smell) where the problem was and concluded that the problem lay outside the building. The staff did offer to have our room checked the following day and offered us another room... everything was so good , clean & the internet access in the lobby is pefect with a printer. I have read about the room being so small , but it was beyond my expectations. you can hardly walk in the room & very limited sapce to put your clothes & luggage

good location 2min walk from Bayswater, rooms were clean, I'm afriad that's the only good thing I can say.Night 1,Nov 28th, our room on the ground floor, had no heating, a huge draft blowing in the window, someone had tried to fix with selotape, unsuccessfully, was so cold couldn't sleep very well under our thin duvet.Night 2, asked for heating/window […] to be fixed, or new room, were given a sheet/blanket which helped somewhat but was still a draft blowing on us, on a very cold night of freezing temps.Morning 3, asked again for new room, was told it would be sorted by the time we came back later that evening.Night 3, was assured it had been fixed, but it wasn't, then told it was too late to get another room,so we were transferred to a sister hotel in Notting Hill, and had to come back the following morning to leave our bags.Night 4, given a nicer room, with heating/no drafty windows, and a bottle of wine/chocolates to apologise, which was a nice touch.Morning 5, woke and electricity gone, tried to shower in dark bathroom but no hot water,no phone,no internet,no hairdryer,no iron.while going down the stairs instead of the lift, came across a breakfast room, full of breakfast, noone had told us about. Checked out amidst many unhappy people with wet hair! Everytime we were at reception there were lots of other people complaining. Pretty, old-world style inside, more modern rooms. Fine for basic needs - not more than one night, creaky floors, noisy neighborhood, hostels around each corner. Had the tiniest room in the world at first, could barely move around the bathroom (shower stall only) and woken up by dishes/noises as right next to the kitchen. This hotel had easy walks to two underground stations and Hyde Park. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby too. The lobby was as lovely as pictured but our room was in the nondescript basement. Upstairs would be nicer but it was clean and fairly quiet in good location.
