The location is in a very quiet area and it's an ex-Travelodge even down to the carpets, door paint and bathroom tiles but don't let that worry you. Everything was in good condition and worked - even the heated towel rail in the bathroom, which is normally disconnected in Travelodges! The hotel was clean and comfortable. Not unlike a Premier Inn in layout. Indian restaurant next door was good. Would have been better if room wasn't facing the main road. Staff very friendly.

The hotel was easy to find using a Satnav. The welcome was good, but only continental breakfast available for a price. No decaf coffee two days running in the room. Bed comfortable, but noise from the road was audible even though there was double glazing and it would appear to be out in the countryside. Luckily I had earplugs! Very friendly and polite staff, clean and well maintained. Great shower. The only slightly negative points were that service at breakfast was pretty slow (waiter didn't seem to know about toast or milk) and you need a car to get anywhere, as it's out in the countryside. We found this hotel to be very similar to travelodge. However, the service felt more personal and less clinical than most hotel chains we have experienced. The surroundings consist of trees and fields. There is ample parking and the hotel run indian/nepalese restaurant serves delicious food. On the downside, the road outside can be a bit noisy set against […] the very quiet background when the window was open on our front facing room.
