Econo Lodge Paducah - 帕迪尤卡

I booked this hotel because it was available, cheap and close to where I was spending the day. It's sole purpose was just a place to sleep/shower. Upon arriving, I was told that my room was the hot tub suite, but the hot tub was broken. There used to be a pool, which was covered with an old tarp. The room smelled stuffy and like it used to be a smoking […] room. It looked like they had tried to make it look nice, but took shortcuts and made careless mistakes. The TV was old. The hot tub was indeed broken. They had installed a very strange shower head that was packed tight in the corner and very confusing to figure out how to use, especially since the knob and temperature dial were installed upside down and broken. At 7 am I was awakened by what I thought was a pipe bursting, but that sound turned out to be the fire alarm. The continental breakfast was a bit of a joke and the OJ was rancid. When I went to check out, the hotel owner could barely speak English and was using his family (including young children) to help clean the rooms. It took about 10 minutes to explain to him that I had already pre-paid for my room online and that I was just checking out. I would not stay here again. 阅读更多信息

Everything was good for the price paid. However, the downside is it's location - it requires a trip down one junction on the Interstate to find all the eateries. Otherwise it's a good 4 mile trek downtown. Receptionist suggested The Whaler's Catch which was a good recommendation.

Room was defintiely no frills but clean. Old, small TV. King bed was not comfortable at all and only made with three very flat pillows. Only two towels in the room. Had to return to the front desk to get additional pillows and towels. Either the AC in the Lobby was broken or they were trying to save money because it had to be 85 degrees in there and […] while I waited a few minutes for the pillows, I was sweating the entire time. only issue at all was shower ... could not run water into tub, only shower part worked, but all in all for the price it was a nice clean comfortable room and the staff was excellent ... not much in way of food at this exit (3) ... have to go about 2 miles up interstate to next exit but still worth it

We really liked the cleanliness of the motel. Check- in went smoothly. We stayed 2 nights. The 1st night was great, but the second night our neighbor next door had a dog which continued to bark until after midnight and then again before 6 am. When I commented on my concerns at check-out, the Clerk only confirmed that there was a dog next door and we […] should have called the fron desk. I was already sleeping when I was continually disturbed by the dog. The cleark never offered an apology nor offered to make it right for the inconvenience. She never made eye contact and pushed it onto the manager that would be in to work in an hour. Since we were awake ( from the barking dog) we began our 8 hr trip back home and could not wait for the manager. We have been home now for 2 days and we have not heard from the manager. Generally low prices usually indicate there is something wrong -- but that was definitely not the case here. The room was spacious and not outdated or worn out. Sure, there was a little room for improvement with cleanliness, but since I wasn't exactly lying on the floor, it wasn't problematic. Breakfast was pretty impressive -- besides the default cereals […] and breads, there were waffles and biscuits and gravy. YUM! The checkin went smooth, once they got me into a non-smoking room. The facility has been updated recently. Room was very comfortable and well equipped. Toilet and shower were in a small room. It was made smaller to accomodate the new shower. The inn is located off the interstate about a 1/4 mile so that makes it very quiet and peaceful. We stopped here to sleep during a trip to shuttle vehicles between MO and NC. This was a last minute reservation using HOTEL.COM's telephone representative. (That was a positive experience also). I said I wanted a clean, inexpensive room in the Paducah area. The gentleman booked the room and we arrived about 20 minutes later (after midnight). I was […] a little concerned about the outside appearance, it's set back from the highway and looks more like a trucker's layover. But looks can be deceiving. The receptionist was polite and helpful. The room was clean (my husband looks carefully for bedbugs at even the high-doller hotels) and the bed was firm and comfortable. The sheets were nice, tight-woven quality. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but they did have a stack of WSJ newspapers for guests, and not that fish-wrapper that you usually find. Great night for the price. 阅读更多信息

The real complaint of our stay....the fact that the tub/shower had hairs left in it. Not just one or maybe two....but 6 or more. It was too late in the night to ask for another room...so we just stayed there for the night. Next time...will check the tub/shower as soon as we check in! Won't make that mistake again!

It served its purpose...only needed it for shower and rest. I ended up stayingan addt'l night in Paducah and stayed at the Hampton Inn. It clearly was of better quality and my rest was more peaceful. Although, I didn't walk on either hotel's carpet w/o shoes.

My room was great, the smell in the hallways was of cat urination it smell offal, that would be my only complaint.

It was a very nice room, better than expected. Bed was very comfortable. The room had a nice couch and coffee table, and was very clean. Would definitely stay again.
