We had a 2 bedroom suite in the Place on the Bay. we found the staff very accommodating, the suite was massive, comfortable and very clean and the view was stunning. It is perfectly placed just down from the bars and restaurants but I didn't hear any noise from them in the room.

"Place on the Bay" is ideally situated at Camps Bay and we choose it for this and also the friendly and efficient staff. We have stayed there many times over the last 10 years.

The hotel has a lovely location. You can have breakfast listening to the breakers on Camp's bay beach. The staff were pleasant and helpful.The rooms are a bit dated but quite cute. Fantastic location, ideal for a first time visit to Cape Town. Parking is a real bonus. Rooms were very clean and the balcony view was great. Would highly recommend to a family or couple. Staff were friendly too.

Everything very very good but refuse to have a guest put in room 307! Extremely noisy during the night as the water heater/pumps next door. The manageress was helpful and did move us to quieter room even though the hotel was very busy. I suppose that really 307 should be taken out of use permanently.

Hotel in great location, can see the beach from most rooms. Staff were warm and friendly. Very helpful. Only things to improve are quality of the showers, free WIFI codes as most other hotels we visited in the area offered complimentary WIFI. Finally the quality of the food offered in the restaurant was not that great, when ordering room service food […] would come up cold and in 3 or more stages. It's an OK hotel, byut very impersonal with no common areas and a reception that's tucked away. The studio rooms have no real view and are not good value. Go for a bigger room and get a better view. The hotel was great, the ocean views amazing! Nothing like falling asleep to the sound of the ocean a hundred yards away! I had thought, and hoped, it would be closer to V&A, as well as other conveniences. It was at the base of table top mountain, though!

Overall we were very happy with the hotel. Rooms were good, service friendly, location excellent. However, when it came to checking-out, we were rather disappointed with the hotel's attitude. On the morning of check-out we asked the front desk for a late check-out (our flight was late afternoon) and they were unable to accommodate us, saying that the […] room was needed. We found this to be unusual as there were about 3 or maximum 4 rooms occupied the whole time we were there. Great location. Good service. Spacious and clean room. Wish the interior was better. Lighting in the living room/bath room was too bright. Style/color of the furniture was not matching. Towel rack in the bathroom needs to be moved closer to the sink.

Die Zimmer müssten mal wieder technisch grundüberholt werden (Duschtüren klemmen, Klodeckel aus altem Holz etc.) Küche dagegen sehr gut eingerichtet. Lage traumhaft, Service mittelklassig.
