Lovely old hotel with loads of character. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Dinner and breakfast were very good. Room was lovely – love the teddies! Will stay here again.

Stayed here as a stop-over for a journey, and wished we'd booked two nights - open fires, cosy bar, good food & good beer - the perfect place to be snowed in with nothing to do but drink & eat for the weekend.

Excellent hotel, great food and very good service. The only problem i had was that there was an open condom paper under the bed which was pretty visible once i got into the room. Other than that a great place to stay and explore the lakes.

Very friendly staff, wonderful food and a delightful room. The only downside is that there was no signal for my mobile phone due to the remoteness but that can be a good thing too.

When we chose this hotel, it was because it seemed to ooze character and we weren't disappointed. Straight away we were greeted with a smile and friendly manner and from then on until we left, nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel special. Rooms are OK and very Clean, but the food in the restaurant is terrable and overpriced. Breakfast was ok home made baked beans are horrible and overpriced if not in your room rate.

"olde worlde" hotel, lots of dark carved wood. Room was big on cushions and dressed teddies. Nice view from window, and plenty of beautiful countryside all around. Small problem- There was a small unglazed window, covered with fabric flap, between bedroom and ensuite, just by toilet, which was disconcerting when using toilet.

Can't complain about anything except the walls of the room we stayed in were too thin as heard everything going on next door very clearly, apart from that, the staff were very helpful, food great, wished stayed longer and explored the area more.

The hotel/pub is gorgeous. Will definitely stay there again. Food is a bit pricey but it saves you travelling further afield. We got the tariff at a good discounted rate which was suitable for our purposes and the facilities provided. I would not stay there at their normal full rate as I don't think it would be value for money. The room we had was in […] the adjacent converted barn but was smaller than expected. Marvelous stay met members of the family who live in the lake district, met up at night for evening meal wide and varied menu, good range of wine and beers, Breakfast excellent, log fires in the dining area with the magnetic effect which made you go and stand by them, A drop of rain, but that is the lake district , if it didn't rain there would not […] be the Lakes nor the multi shades of green of the scenery, for over 60 years I have hiked it biked it , camped it and now I bed and breakfast it, Oh and by the way the Queens is as good a place to stay to see the Lakes as anywhere I have stayed before, So those who are hesitating do it and book it, you will have no regrets 阅读更多信息

The inn is lovely and the staff were, without exception, very friendly and welcoming. The food was good quality and beautifully presented too. Great choice of real ales and lagers and very good 'gastro pub' type food. Maybelimited choice for a fussy eater but we were well satisfied and ate there on both nights of our stay and enjoyed it thoroughly. The only negative for me was the poor wi-fi connection which seemed to drift in and out of range and was pretty much useless, even though our room […] at the front of the main building. Delightful 2 night stay. Great location just a couple of miles from the hustle and bustle of Windermere and Bowness. Peacocks were great neighbours. They were noisy, but we loved them.
