I love staying at this hotel. The two restaurants BLT and 42 are both excellent and are right in the hotel. My only complaint was at breakfast. The waitress didn't write our order and it was wrong. The service was also very slow

I love staying at the Ritz Carlton in White Plains! I was very disappointed that wifi wasn't included in the price I paid for my room. I have traveled many places and every hotel I've stayed at wifi was included.

The hotel was close to all shopping but surrounding neighborhood was not ideal. The room I had had a clogged toilet but the front desk was very apologetic. I retrieved a call and a handwritten note apologizing for the inconvenience. I had the privacy card hanging from the door and the front desk ignored that and opened the door anyway to put the card […] in which I did not appreciate. The pool had so much chlorine in it, it made me wonder what they were trying to hide, it left my skin very irritated for days after. The roof was not insulated and cold air came into the pool, which made the experience less enjoyable. I have stayed at better places for cheaper rates. I would not recommend the Ritz Carlton. 阅读更多信息

I stood at the Ritz-Carlton for a Wedding this past weekend. The Hotel is very beautiful inside and out. However, they should rename this hotel the "nickel and dime" hotel. When you pull up to drop off your car, watch out for the 65.00 car charge for valet parking. You are never told this as you pull up to the hotel, and the stub says 30.00 for up to […] 24 hrs. I checked in at 1pm Saturday and left Sunday at 12pm ( a total of 23 hrs) and was charged 65.00. We were never given the option of self service parking at all. Secondly, I was charged for 2 separate holds for incidentals. 150.00 upon checking in and another 276.00 the following morning. When I called the next morning to complain about the 276 dollar hold; they could not figure why I was charged. It has been a week later and I still have both of these holds on my card. I repeat DO NOT USE A DEBIT CARD here at all. The hotel staff did whatever they could to satisfy me by waiving my 65 dollar parking fee. However, I still have a bad taste of my mouth by getting nickeled and dimed at this hotel. Next time I would rather stay at the Holiday Inn Express and let the aristocrats stay at the Ritz. 阅读更多信息

Both restaurants at the hotel were only fair, and this was surprising as Ritz Carlton hotels usually have consistent quality at their restaurants. And at the lobby lounge, when I ordered a martini with onions on the side, the waitress brought the glass in her hand, not on a tray, and the onions were in a soggy paper napkin rather than on a plate. We visit the White Plains / metro NYC area at least once a month and always stay at the Ritz. There is just no comparison. Kevin, one of the men at the door, is by far one of the most amazing people. He remembers everything and is so accomodating.

Amazing and rejuvenating experience- we will be staying once a month. Only low points- repeated problem with key working, minor glitch with room service and the chef at 42 having a heavy hand with salt and dousing beautiful quality food with clumsy sauces.

This is the place you want to go for a special treat and don't mind paying for it. We enjoyed the spa, restaurants, and surrounding area. The staff is superbly trainined and vigilent to your every need. Of course, service and luxury like this come at a price, but for the right occasion it's worth it.

There is a reason they call it the Ritz. The staff was exceptional. We were attending our son's graduation from a nearby university and had the celebratory dinner at "42" in the hotel. It was one of the top 10 dining experiences we have had. Exquisite food and attentive service. Treat yourself and stay here.

We are from Philly, and stayed at this hotel so that we could go to a local restaurant, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. The hotel was very nice and relaxing, and the people were extremely pleasant. We did not do much in the surrounding area so cannot comment on that.

From valet to check in everything was top notch. 6th flr room with view of the front of the hotel. It's a city urban setting but it was ok. Room and bathroom was great. We asked for location of ice machine and they insisted on bringing it up themslves. Seperate livingroom area. Flat screen tvs in each room. Never was able to log on to the internet. […] Called the front desk twice, The second time we were transfered to some trouble shooter in another state. Never was able to check my email. Fitness center was A-1. Clean & modern with towels, water and plenty of natural light. Staff was present in the a.m. making sure everything was up to par. These rooms are a bit over priced but with the proximity to NYC and the name what else would you expect. We ate at the restaurant on the 42nd floor. Great dining experience. Not much to do in the immediate proximity except shop. Macy's is right across the street and a mall a short walking distance away. I live in the NYC area and this was a getaway for the wife and me who enjoyed the luxury aspects. Some decent dining within walking distance and a Starbucks too. We used this as a stop over on a long trip just before getting home. The bed and linens were nice as well as exteremely comfortable. This is probably geared more towards business travelers than leisure but great just the same. Without even asking, I was upgraded to a one bedroom suite. I was on the 3rd floor but expected to be a higher level. No big deal because it was nice to people watch from the corner windows. Both came in a timely manner. My only disappointment was I was looking forward to taking a luxurious bath, but after having the water running for a few minutes I went back in to check on it and the water was greenish and cloudy. not sure if there was something wrong with the water or if the tub just wasn't clean. It was a big disappointment because the large bathtubs is the reason I chose the Ritz over other hotels.
