Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Galveston Beach, TX - 加尔维斯敦

My wife and I stayed just one night for our anniversary. We were very pleased with the staff particularly at check in the gentleman attending the front desk made sure we had a very good room with a great balcony. The room was very well keep and the bathroom was especially clean. The next morning we enjoyed a great breakfast more then enough food.

My husband had business in Houston on Friday so on Saturday we went to Galveston! We arrived at noon so I asked the front desk if we could park in the parking lot and it was NO PROBLEM. Gave us a sticker and we didn't have to drive around looking for a parking space. While at the front desk, I asked if I could get a room looking over the Gulf Beaches. […] Malcolm checked me in and he was super nice and when we checked in...my room was perfect; we were looking at Pleasant Pier. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was nice; it had granite countertops and full granite slabs in the shower. Really pretty. We went to the Black Pearl for dinner; pretty good and the staff is awesome. Oyster's Rockefeller were terrific. Great drinks. Drove around the Historical District on Sunday. Needs better quality of bathroom tissue and toilet paper. Comforter on bed was too heavy for summer weather. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I do wish the breakfast had been served at the same time on Saturdays as the rest of the week. We went deep sea fishing and had to eat breakfast elsewhere, which meant we had to get up earlier than if we could have eaten breakfast at the hotel. That was my only complaint.

Good: Five minute walk to pleasure pier. One block from playground and skate park. Food mart next door. Balcony with great views. Microwave and refrigerator. Beach across the street. Bad: Not enough parking. Some questionable characters nearby. Breakfast was limited.

Hotel is very well managed and conveniently located, close to great restaurants and attractions. Beach is great for walking in the mornings. We will definitely come back.

Dirty bathroom bad service rundown for such a new hotel. You can tell they cut corners and do everything on the cheap.

I loved this hotel, They have amazing views from the rooms including a balcony with a great view of the pleasure pier. We loved the indoor pool and spa. The breakast was also amazing with home made do-it yourself waffle maker. We will definitly stay here again. The rooms were clean and so comfortable!

It was better than what I expected great location great service good pool was cold but good. Price was good also 59$ for a good location and room could of got a dirty motel for that price.Room was clean every morning . Cannot beat this place for the price I got. I will be back.

The hotel was beautiful, the parking lot could be bigger with more lighting, and the indoor pool was to cold to take my children to. Over all the place was awesome and staff was great!

It was a very nice Hotel, location was great. Very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Although, they didnt have enough towels for the pool and the pool water was very cold, other than that it was great! will definitely stay there next time!

My wife and I booked a room for two nights at the Country Inn and Suites in Galveston. We booked at this hotel specifically because we would need to do laundry at that point in our extended trip. The hotel is advertised via a booking service as: "The 60 air-conditioned guestrooms at Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Galveston Beach, TX include washers/dryers […] and complimentary newspapers". I thought this was a decent hotel, It was simple and very clean, and very accomodating for us. We just stayed one night before we left for our cruise, but the Hotel was good. They even allowed us to park our vehicle at the hotel for the duration of our trip, and had a shuttle that took us to and from the Port of Galveston.

This was one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Very clean and modern and room very comfortable. The air conditioner was a bit annoying as it was hard to regulate temperature and ran constantly. Has a washer and dryer which was a plus. I would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here on a regular basis for business and this hotel takes pride in making sure the interior cleanliness is high priority. The front desk staff is very nice and appropriately polite with customers.

Hotel was great, staff was friendly. Great location. Only con is they hold of $50 on my card wasn't released until five days later. Otherwise, great experience at this hotel. Definitely recommend.

Loved it. Great room with balcony and view of water. Good hot breakfast. Close to Pleasure Pier. One little problem, the elevators smelled! I believe it is due to people using the pool and getting on the elevators with wet feet. Hard to air out an elevator but they need to do something about that.

Located on the seawall, Country Inn and Suites is about as convenient as you can get for the value. The rooms are always clean and fresh-smelling, Eva greets you with a smile at the front desk whether you check in during the day or late in the evening, a nice breakfast is offered (although we prefer biking to the Sunflower Bakery so we only indulge […] in the coffee at this hotel), we are allowed to keep our bikes in our room which is a GREAT convenience and this hotel is located very close to yummy restaurants, Murdoch's and the new Pleasure Pier. We stay here frequently and always enjoy our stay. The one thing that does need some attention is the inadequate parking, especially in the busy season or when there are major events happening (which is quite often on the island). We do not recommend this hotel at all. The service was not professional and plain out rude. The room had an odor and stains on the couch and floor. The pool chemical levels were so bad that just a couple minutes in the pool or jacuzzi, was enough to have your eyes burning extremely. While using the jacuzzi, you had to go to the front desk to have them […] come turn on the jets, due to the fact that the controls were locked in a case. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious and right on the beach. I didn't like being charged a $50 deposit in case I damaged the room!

Really nice. Started out as a 2 night stay, added an extra night. We walked to the pier. Rated it a little low cause I tend to notice fit and finish details. There was still tape on the smoke detector from a repaint. Really nice shower. Little rust in the pool area, but kinda expected. Over all really nice for the price. Really close to the pier.

It was spring break so I realize they were very busy. However, when we first got there they were out of towels. The carpet in the room was old and stained. The rooms were kept neet and the hotel was clean. The workout equipment was old and no sanitizer to clean the equipment before or after workout. The hotel was close to Pleasure Pier which was great. […] The parking was not good at the hotel I had to park on the street at night. This hotel had great Location for someone never having been to Galveston before. They were very Strict on the 3pm Check In, and when I walked back into the Lobby at a few mins after 3, there were 50 atleast pensioners from a bus. The Front desk receptionist did a great job getting individuals checked in, as well as the large group in a timely manner. […] I had a great view from my room of Pleasure Pier. The Room was cleanish and I am a picky Traveller but cannot complain about this Hotel especially for the Price I got the Room at ($60). Hotel was close to beach and walking distance to Pleasure Pier, free Cruise Parking is a bonus, parking is limited though, front desk was friendly, carpets were very dirty and stained.

Disappointed in hotel. The location was great and the rooms. Breakfast mediocre. What was disappointing was the staff and their lack of knowledge about the area, public transit, and total apathy. You really need a car if you stay here as we spent most of our second day wandering around Galveston trying to get a taxi. Great location not so great parking lot!! Not enough places to park we had to park down the street. Would have been nice to have house keeping available later in the day as well. We were in the room till 4 so our room didn't get clean linen or towls.

We stayed one night prior to our cruise. The hotel was clean, fresh & new. it was convenient to The Spot for a great hamburger supper and walking distance to Pleasure Pier. $7.00 per person for a shuttle to the ship and they let us book our own time.
