Overall expensive for location. We got a room on the 23rd floor directly unde the rooftop lounge. Upon checking was told it would be loud until 1am and I was ok with that. The music didn't stop until 3:30 am!!!! Upon complaining to night manager and then on duty manager the next morning, they performed no service recovery what so ever. They simply said […] "sorry about that". Not exceptable when you pay over $250/night! Was told by web site where I booked the room that parking was $25.00. Turned out to be $39.00! The hotel is sweet! Modern hotel with a club vibe, especially in the elevator. The rooms are nice and the beds are extremely comfortable. Slept like a baby. Definitely will be back for another say.

This was a last minute booking for business, the check-in was easy, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was comfortable and clean. I would stay here again...especially for the great rate.

The hotel is very nice and the staff is wonderful.The rooms are clean. Unfortunately the rooms are extremely small. There is really no space available in the room with 2 double beds. Also, the location was not very nice. It really didn't invite to go out and walk around the neighborhood, especially at night. Had a great experience here. Overall, so convenient to everything from Manhattan to Brooklyn. Wish the car services they worked with were a bit more affordable. Also, for a newer hotel, it is getting a bit worn and could use some attending to. Not too bad and certainly it is more than made up for by it's location. We will happily stay here again.

New York is a city that you cant really ever be Bored in.... and this trip proved as much!! The Aloft in Brooklyn was an amazing hotel with a very modern décor and a young yet sophisticated feel! I caught the Subway to the Aloft. Using the subway was fine but via google maps it directed me to get off at Hoyt station which isn't far but was VERY complicated […] to find the hotel from this station. I found myselve walking in circles. We even haled a cab in the area after doing a few laps and asking ppl on the streets for directions. The driver using the GPS still couldn't reach the hotel without driving in a few circles. He even had to get out and ask for directions!! (lol... Go figure!!) But he was nice enough not to charge us the whole fare! MORAL of this store: ***Get off at JAY STREET Subway Station!!!! The Staff there were AMAZING! The were very helpful and accommodating... I felt like a star! Because my friends and I were planning on going out at night they extended our check out which I felt was a thoughtful gesture! :) The room itself was small but the use of space was clever!! And then after going out and having an amazing time out on the city and arriving back to the hotel after the sun came up we were offered an even later check out that was much NEEDED! And to top it off.... the day after leaving I called back to the hotel because I thought I forgot something in the room... They remembered me! That was Awesome! On both nights of my stay, wake up calls were not done properly. 1st day was 45 minutes late. Second day did not happen at all. Good thing I woke up on my own.

Great hotel overall, I'm definitely sold on the Aloft brand of hotels as this was my first stay. Loved the free wifi in room and free gym access. Manager was great and staff extra helpful and charming across the board. Construction in the area didn't disturb me much at all and while the hotel was sold out one of the nights I was there I wasn't kept […] awake by rowdy guests. The only downsides were that my room carpet wasn't as clean as it could have been and the door needed to be wiped down. Location near Brooklyn Heights was fantastic. My husband and I stayed for a overnight trip for a family engagement dinner. The hotel was just what we needed. Convenient to the subway system, within walking distance of stores and eateries, and quiet and clean. I didn't get the room that I paid for, which included a balcony. I actually got an extremely small room. I understand rooms in NY are small but I paid extra for something else and didn't get it. The room also didn't come with many of the amenities listed. But, overall the room was decent, clean, and the bed was comfy.

I totally enjoy the Aloft Brooklyn. It's a very short walk to shopping and dining opportunities. The beds are so comfortable. Great place to stay in Brooklyn.

The service was good in terms of interpersonal interactions, it's just that the front desk was slow/understaffed perhaps--several people were leaving early morning and the line got backed up with some folks wanting to check out, some folks wanting breakfast, and some folks wanting a car service...come to think of it, same thing happened when I was checking […] in. Was hard to find the hotel-didn't see there any notice on the hotel's site alerting folks that their GPS may not be accurate due to recent road changes. That would have been helpful and saved me about 20 minutes of driving in circles. The staff though, talked me in, and that was very much appreciated.

Fire alarm went off at 2 am...false alarm, but couldn't go back to sleep.Coffee pot was not working, replaced promptly. Would stay in the hotel again.

Aloft in downtown Brooklyn was a good choice given that I needed to be near BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) one nite and near Manhattan the next. The room is small but well designed. the rest of the hotel is hip looking. The two glitches were -- pkg really is around the corner on the next street and depending on tolerance level and ability to shlep […] your bags -- that might be an issue. It was also more expensive than I thought it would be. The other glitch was that a boiler blew, and my last morning I had no hot water. Given that what you want out of a NYC hotel room is a nice bed, a tv, and a hot shower, I wasn't happy. The manager gave me 10,000 Starwood points as compensation, but not until I had received a certain amount of skeptical attitude from another staff member. My last comment is not really a complaint about a glitch but about the by now tired excuse that hotel staff sometimes use of 'well you booked through hotels.com, so we can't....." -- fill in the blank. It's been years, we all know people use third party travel sites to book and I do not ever want to hear a hotel complain about having rooms filled by a third party site. If they wish to offer less than full service for using a third party site, they should state that on their website. Otherwise, treat me like any other guest. 阅读更多信息

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location if visiting schools like NYU Polytechnic Institute. Convenient to subway into Manhattan. Also liked the "to go" food options available by the front desk. Room was clean and warm.

We enjoyed our stay. A couple blocks from a couple subway stops made it convienent to explore BKLYN and the city. Rooms were clean but very tight and walls were pretty thin. Service was great, we had an unfortunate fire alarm issue early in the morning but the management went out of their way to accommodate us.

the staff were very accomidating, in the middle of the night a couple of alarms went off so the next morning when we were checking out they offered all of the guests complimentary breakfast. I thought that was wonderful.

We chose the Aloft after having stayed at the Marriott on previous trips to Brooklyn and not liking that property. The Aloft is a very cool place - the downstairs has a food area and pool table, with a more casual check-in desk than most places. The floors only have 8 rooms per floor, but there are 20+ floors. Our room had a king bed, dresser, desk, […] and nicely done bathroom with a closet, all well arranged in a NYC-size room so that we never felt cramped. The room was very clean and best of all quiet. My husband and I stayed with our two kids ages 6 and 7 for four nights. We really loved this hotel! It was in a great neighborhood in Brooklyn. Everything was within walking distance and it was very close to multiple subway stops. Downtown Manhattan is just a few train stops away. Easy to walk to almost any of the surrounding neighborhoods like Cobble Hill, Carroll Gardens, Park Slope, etc. and easy subway access to Manhattan and the airport. I really want to love this hotel. But adjoining doors are paper thin. And my room did have a slight mildewy smell. But overall it more then met my needs. Thankfully I had quiet neighbors. Excellent staff/service. Comfy bed. Loved the aesthetics. Might give it another try?

The leaky windows made for some cold drafts, the coffee pods are TERRIBLE, and the remote didn't work. I finally brought remote to front desk. Was told someone from engineering would be right up with replacement. Replacement never came. The room's wi-fi was turned off an hour before check-out...

The Aloft is one of an increasing number of trendy, "modern," boutique hotels in Brooklyn. I've stayed at several, and this one has become my favorite, mainly because of the design of the rooms. All the aforementioned hotels have small rooms, but this one is not over-furnished so it seems relatively roomy, and what furnishings it has are very comfortable […] and attractive. Great king-sized bed. I've discovered that too much furniture in one of these small rooms leads to stubbed toes. Also, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful with directions. The surrounding neighborhood is not very attractive, but hotel is located within a couple blocks of 2 subway stops, so getting to Manhattan and other parts of Brooklyn was pretty easy.
