This place was really great. Modern feel, clean beds and bathrooms and really fantastic service. We were allowed to check in early and the front desk was super helpful with every request we had. Rooms are relatively small but I've stayed in much smaller in the city so I didn't mind it at all. Also the free wi-fi was very helpful. Increduble value in an extremely convenient location. Every time I stay in New York, I stay near Union Square. The subway station there will easily get you anywhere in the city within 20 minutes. As a tourist with only a weekend to spend in New York, this is ideal! I can't say enough about the staff and how friendly, accommodating and sincere they were. […] Rooms are small, but clean and well appointed. Mattresses are very comfortable. We had one issue and the staff bent over backwards at all hours of the night to accommodate us. Follow up email a week later thanking us for our stay. Extremely courteous and helpful staff. Small clean European style botique hotel. Good location. Room needs to have more air movement. Room needs to have additional wall mirror in the suite main room. Would stay here again.

Were charged tax even though our expedia email indicated we would not be. There was what looked like a poorly papered hole in the wall. The room was oddly shaped. Water was on the table, but we had no way of knowing if it was complimentary or not. The decor was a mishmash of styles and all the linens said Charles Hotel, but we were at the Verite.

Room was fine except I couldn't control the temperature even though there was a thermostat in the room. It started at 70 degrees when I checked in and by the morning was up to 76 degrees - too warm for me. I asked downstairs and they said it's a centrally controlled system.

My stay was perfectly pleasant. It is not a fancy place but everything is done in a clean, modern way and served it's purpose as a great place to spend the night on business travel. No gym or food, which was fine.

My husband and I needed a hotel in the Union Square area for research and meetings-Hotel Verite was centrally located, good service, clean comfortable room. We were double-billed on our credit card for the hotel stay, but the staff issued an immediate refund on our card, and they were prompt,courteous, and highly apologetic.

Got a very good deal on hotels.com on this brand new re-modeled hotel in the downtown/union square/chelsea area. It's all new so everything is very clean. Modern and fairly upscale. Front desk very nice. Free coffee and breakfast in the lobby every morning is a great touch. Hard boiled eggs, bagels, juice, fruit, etc...was perfect for me. Some rooms […] have no window but a good size sky light for natural light. If not having a regular window is a deal-breaker there were many that did. It was a nice little hotel in the centre of New York. Located on 19th and Broadway. Easy to find. Good service, very nice rooms and a nice and helpful staff. The things that i didn't appreciate was an unstable wifi, low water preasure in the shower and they didn't know to much about the area close to the hotel. Like restaurants and such. modern, great location, great rate, very convenient to the sights of NYC. great staff. basic breakfast provided which was appreciated. the skylight in roof and the slightly fiddly lighting was the only negative to an otherwise wonderful stay. highly recommended!

Got this room fairly cheap because I didn´t come to NYC to stay in a hotel room. The backside of a cheap room in my case was a room with only a rooftop window. Perhaps it should have been a little bit more cheaper because of that. But the room had a nice standard overall and good cleaning so I really can´t complain. Vi bodde på hotellet under 6 nätter, och vi var väldigt nöjda med hotellet. Bra läge i ett bra område, och personalen gav ett bra och hjälpsamt intryck. Bodde på våning 4 och vi märkte inte av restaurangen/baren som ligger i anslutning till hotellet. Första gången i NYC och vi kommer åka tillbaka igen, och kan då definitivt bo på detta hotell igen.

Nos gusto mucho el hotel, por su ubicacion, sus cercanias para el metro, una zona tranquila no tan ruidosa como el resto de Manhattan. The end price was higher than at hotels.com and it was quite high to begin with. The hotel didn't live up to the design hotel approach described at their web page. It was a bit worn, no bed side lamps and air condition you couldn't adjust. We understand the location is costly but are not too pleased with the stay.
