Kelly and Penny were very helpful throughout the process and contacted us a few days before our arrival to ensure we knew where to park, where we could leave our bags if need be and answered all our questions and treated us like family. I highly recommend Sea Gate and would stay there again.

Penny and Kelly were amazing! The property is very convenient to the ferry terminal and they have horses on property. It’s family owned and cute breakfast included. Air conditioning and ample accommodations for our group, definitely recommended!!!

Amazing stay and perfect home base on Vieques. At check in, Kelly gave us great recommendations of what to do and how to work with island life. The ferry told us to avoid the bio bay due to the full moon, but Kelly told us the moon wouldn't be out until after nine, so we were able to see the bay in it's full glory (thank you so much!). If you are looking for a true local place with the amenities and cleanliness of a big name hotel, the Seagate is your place.

Owners Penny and Kelly were great from the very start. They reached out too us to confirm what time we would be checking in and making sure that the Cottage that we rented had all the necessities and making sure that we hd everything that we needed, and continued throughout our stay. This was our 2nd stay at Sea Gate and will definitely return and stay here again.

We booked for a couple of nights to tag on to a longer stay at a rental villa and are really glad that we did. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The location is great for access into town. The rooms are comfortable & decent sized for the price, especially with breakfast included. The grounds are beautiful and a real bonus for those with children who want to explore.

Such a pretty place. The staff is so welcoming – like you're going to stay with family. The grounds were beautiful, and each room had different eclectic art and a bookshelf of worn books that you could read during your stay. I would definitely go back!

I’m so glad I picked to stay in the Captain Quarters at Sea Gate Hotel. Even before check in I knew it was going to be a great stay thanks to the communication with Kelly and Penny, the owner. My room was amazing and Penny gave me a personal tour of it (it is family owned and ran). I even considered just spending more time in my room because of how great it was. I also easily scheduled to do horseback riding with Ruben. It was a one on one experience, and Ruben was an excellent tour guide and very communicative. Don’t forget to bring extra to tip because they deserve it! I’m looking forward to my next stay here in the future!

Our stay at the Seagate Hotel was amazing. The property is a mom and pop place located on a hill overlooking the ocean. Penny was an amazing host and allowed us to check in early. She answered all our questions and provided water, coffee and snacks on our arrival. The property has horses and we booked a 1.5 hours horse ride with Penny with “Gato” as our tour guide. That was the highlight of our trip. We only stayed for one night but I am planning on coming back for a longer stay. Both Penny and Kelly were super amicable and provided excellent service. Penny makes coffee every morning and provides pastries, cereal and fresh fruits for the guests. I enjoyed her company and her stories about the history of the hotel and Vieques

Nice surprise, very helpful owner. Room was well equipped and spotlessly clean. The buildings are old, but charming and very well maintained. Beautiful gardens with good views and spotted some colourful iguanas as well.
