Great hotel run by a lovely lady whose name I forgot to take. As a solo female traveller I felt very safe and 'looked after'. I had two electric fans in the room which was more than enough to keep me cool in the heatwave. If you want up to date decor and all modcons then spend more and stay elsewhere, but for comfort and a great budget option this fits the bill. A short walk to Victoria Station and a 10 minute walk to reach the river.

Lovely staff, functional room. Worth noting the curtains are not black -out variety (so if you wake up to light be aware), there is no air-con and the windows do not open all the way (common in hotels), I suspect it will get very warm in summer. There is a desk fan in the room which helps. I would absolutely stay again spring/winter/autumn but not in a heatwave or high summer as I struggle sleeping if it is really hot
