The resort was wonderful, the staff were great, food was good and healthy (aside from the desert bar, haha). My only request to improve the stay is to limit the areas that people can smoke, it was very hard to find somewhere that was free of cigarette smoke.

It was beautiful. The staff was very professional and nice. The environment is very relaxing. The only downside is that the bed was uncomfortable and it is two smaller mattresses that make up the king size bed. Other than that we had a lovely time.

A Lovely Holiday

We were at Gangehi Resort for 6 nights in March 2023. Our trip was moved from January after I broke my knee bone in December. I was worried the water would be too rough for me to swim in, but it was mostly calm and clear. There was swimming off the beach in back of our room and we swam there every morning. We saw reef sharks as well as several varieties of fish there, but not as many fish as were at the larger beach area near the dining room. In general the coral is hurting, but there were some beautiful and healthy soft corals to see. In the area behind our cabin they appear to be working with some success on building a new reef. The entire resort can be walked around in only a few minutes. There are people working to maintain the grounds all the time. The cabins are cleaned 2 times a day. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and hard working. The two who did the most to make our trip a pleasure were Nafla at the front desk and Rasheed, our waiter. Staff members seemed to come from countries in the area, and those who interacted with guests spoke excellent English. Guests seemed to come primarily from Europe, especially Italy. We appreciated that there were no noisy activities that disturbed the general peace of the island. It was a lovely place to relax! The only thing I would change about Gangehi would be the use of so many plastic bottles. They charge for every bottle of water, even at dinner. Readily available water not in plastic bottles would be good.

The accommodations are extremely well kept and most staff are very pleasant and welcoming. I had an unfortunate arrival in that the hotel was having difficulty with my payment method. Despite my credit card being charged on my statement, the property was not receiving that payment. I found the unwillingness to be flexible and give me time to deal with the issue to be astounding. Instead, it was a 'pay now or leave the island' approach. There seemed to be no room for reasoning, despite my being unable to contact someone from home at that time given the time change. I would have been happy to work out the issue when I could reach my bank but the woman who checked me in did not seem to be willing to give me any time. I showed proof of the transaction on my banking statement and had made arrangements with my credit card beforehand, so ultimately, my credit card was not the issue. Whatever the issue was, being more flexible to working it out would have been far more comforting after a long travel day. Please consider should this issue ever come up again with another patron. Otherwise, this property is truly wonderful and I would certainly suggest this to family and friends for a quiet get-away in a beautiful place.

This island is small so it is easy to look around the whole island. The water villa is located in a very beautiful coral. You can find much coral just dived in the sea. Also the tropical fish swim around the coral and the villa. The sunrise and sunset can be seen in both side of water villa. But the food quality should be more improved in the future.

A Quiet Place -- True Paradise

We are a family of four. We stayed at Gangehi for 5 nights from 27/7-1/8. We had a great stay there and enjoyed a lot. Gangehi is a very small island and it takes only 10 minutes to walk around the whole island. There are only 45 rooms. You only see a few hotel guests except at the restaurant. Very quiet and peaceful! The sand of the beach is pretty good, which is white and tiny. The water is clear. Our kids spent most of their time in the sea, where baby sharks and a lot of fish can be seen. You can just stand there and see the lovely sea creatures passing by. It is amazing. One of the main feature of the island is the long-tailed beach. It is several hundred metres long towards the sea and is a very good place to enjoy the beautiful sunset. Walking along the beach is so romantic. Regarding the rooms, the first 2 nights we stayed at a beach villa and the next 2 nights we stayed at a over-water villa. As the last day we needed to seaplane early, I booked a garden villa for the last night in order to save money. Luckily, we got upgraded to a beach villa. Thanks, Gangehi! Both beach villas and over-water villas are great and have their own advantages. If you stay at beach villas, it is more convenient and safe for kids to play in the shallow water area. Over-water villa is also fantastic. It is spacious and the sea-facing view is very nice. There are a lot of fish in the water. Even you are in the toilet or bathroom, you can see the fish passing by!

从预订到退房流程都十分方便。岛小，很安静，浮潜环境也不错，还可以Kayaking。传说中的长尾海滩真的很美，景色很浪漫。餐厅的意大利伙食吃了几天感觉有点腻，但厨师们都很有趣，说的中文也很搞笑。整体的服务人员态度都还是蛮不错的。WIFI确实很弱，能改进下就非常棒了。

宁静，安逸，空气好，西边水屋住宿比较好风，清爽；东边近海沙滩屋住宿，感觉没有西边那么清爽，略带点湿气，但这边出海的近海珊瑚非常漂亮，浅浮一流，早晨8点左右我连续三天都看见小鲨鱼，鱼类也比较多，午后感觉鱼类没有早上那么密集。而西边有一条长长的沙滩路，好似无尽头甘，我们行了差不多1公里左右，水大概到脚膝头头，就没有继续前进，或许还能走更远，建议选包三餐进岛，如果进岛后单独点个晚餐含税大概要50欧元一个人，非常昂贵啊。

hotles网站已经好几次订房了，服务态度都很好，也很诚信，只要在网页上承诺有的服务，即使酒店实际没有提供，都可以给兑现补偿。至于酒店，景色和浮潜都超棒，有免费的皮划艇，很受欢迎！意大利餐吃多会有些不适应，感叹还是中餐最美味，床要是再舒服点就更好了，网络不太给力！

I really enjoyed my stay in gangehi, everything was perfect : nice staff ,cleaning twice a day is just perfect, the best water I’ve ever seen. You can see a lot of fish under the bungalow, some sharks. The split island was good as well. The massage is just perfect. I would love to visit it again.
