Bajamos todas las mañanas a desayunar sin reservación hasta que me mandaron un mensaje por WhatsApp sobre las reservaciones. "Nice hotel with friendly staff in a great location. The rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is of a good standard. Unfortunately I left an item of clothing behind and the hotel wasn't very helpful as they would not post it to me, even though I offered to pay the costs. I would have given a much better rating if it wasn't for this as it would show they were prepared to go the extra effort for guests.

Plus points. Handy to bus station. Friendly check in staff. Nice reception area.
Bad points. Room falling to bits. Bathroom horrible and dirty. Windows and floors dirty. Breakfast extra $10 (we didn't bother after seeing the state of the hotel). Advertised as having a guest laundry - it doesn't but has a paid (and expensive) laundry service/dry clean. The area around the bus station is grotty and lots of homeless and dirt.
Four hotels so far in South America This was the worst except the nice friendly female at reception was very pleasant and helpful.
Stay in the old town/port area or near the southern beaches This area is unpleasant to stay in and it's worth the cost of the uber to stay somewhere else."
