"The hotel is well located just a few minutes walk into the centre of Portree. The rooms are clean, well furnished and comfortable. We found the restaurant evening menu very limited. By comparison the breakfast menu was good. The absence a butter knife in the place setting was surprising and missed. The bar/ restaurant is poorly designed with guests having to stand at the bar to be served amongst the diners. Overall a nice hotel, well situated with nice rooms."

"The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. All the doors in the building squeak on their hinges and could benefit from some oil. Carpet in the hallway would also be good to quiet the feet going up and down the hall. There was a crack in the bathroom flooring that I thought might cut someone’s foot. There was work being done on the roof while we were there so perhaps there are other renovations being planned."

"This is an old Scottish Hotel with a modern reception, dining and extension. It has retained the best of both worlds and of course is on the sea front. We had a ground floor room in the extension with a small individual patio and facing the sea loch. We could park directly outside so bag carry was a few yards. Food excellent, perhaps over generous portions! Excellent shower ample hot water and good local toiletries. Bed large and comfortable. WiFi sound. POD based coffee. Staff excellent. Happy to go again."

"A wee bit of a Fawlty Towers experience when we went to their restaurant for dinner the first night. The hotel in general was good. Comfortable beds and best of all Haggis for breakfast!"

"We LOVED this hotel! So incredible! The grounds are beautiful! You feel like you are living in the highland of Skye. The rooms were comfortable and so unique. The main hotel building was stunning and the staff was so friendly. The food was incredible. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Prefect Isle of Skye experience."

"This was our second stay here. We stayed in 2023 and loved it. We were so happy that there was an available apartment for us this year. Kitchen is fully equipped with instruction manuals available for the appliances, shower was wonderful. The is something very calming with going to sleep to the sound of lambs bleating and waking up with them scampering around close to you. Would go again. "

"The staff were the highlight. Attentive and friendly and all young but very good. The rooms were small and cramped but the breakfast was included and it was excellent. One of the employees even did a wash and fold for us"
