"Staff were friendly. Property was clean-ish for such a dated spot. The plumbing in our room was incredibly loud. The toilet would make loud noises on and off all night. The shower was making some strange noises too. They use a key fob system and it didn’t work to open the pool. You have to sign out a paper thin small towel; and then return it to the front desk. Such a strange system and not family friendly. I tried to keep my expectations realistic, but the bathroom noises and the inconveniences with the pool system were just too much to swallow for the 220.00 a night. I can’t say I will return. "

"This is a quiet hotel easely reached from the highway. Sackville has a great waterfowl park and some very good restaurants. Sackville is also known for Mount Allison University. "

"Sign by dining room listed its hours of operation for all 3 daily meals, but when we came by for dinner well within the listed time frame, there was literally nobody around anywhere. There was no indication that it might only be certain days or by reservation only, in fact it's listed as a full public restaurant on their website, with public menu visible, we'd even planned what we wanted to order. And it was a Friday night, so even if they were only open some days, surely they'd be open for dinner Fridays! Staff was friendly but scattered. Room was small but comfortable. The beautiful antique styles of the main house are far less so in the carriage house so that was a little disappointing. The toilet in our bathroom was huge and ancient and was constantly running until I fixed it myself. Price was very reasonable. Be aware - there's a train that runs nearby and the whistle is very noisy. This is not the fault of the owners of course, but something to be aware of for light sleepers. "
