We stayed in a standard room in the main building and it was so lovely! The breakfast was awesome and the walk down to the village was convenient. This hotel has a lovely restaurant attached with great food. Zaros Lake is just around the corner. My favorite part was the spring water running down the side of the road. A very lovely village to visit on your trip around Crete.
We initially had booked 2 nights here and had fortunately not booked any of our 3 remaining nights in Crete. As soon as we stepped foot in the place, we immediately booked another 2 nights. The house was amazing! It had a full kitchen, loft, wooden spiral staircase, 2 bathrooms, and 2 balconies. The village itself was very quaint and friendly with exceptional views of the surrounding countryside. The local restaurant had delicious traditional food at inexpensive prices and a great balcony view...
Beautiful grounds, pool and vistas. Very friendly staff, and breakfast was very good. Just be aware you’re driving narrow country roads to get up to the property, about 1/2 mile outside Archanes. We’d do it again without hesitation, but probably not with the unit we booked. It had a loft bedroom with steep stairs and low ceiling height for half the loft. Fine for shorter folks or younger people. Not ideal at age 70.

What a lovely boutique hotel! The staff made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was phenomenal. The location was perfect between the beach and the town, easily walkable to both. It was quiet and relaxing. Highly recommend!
A big reason to come to Crete and stay in Heraklion is Captain Napoleon. Fantastic breakfast included, wonderful rooftop views, nice pool, good room with balcony, not far from the airport and ferries, and best of all the staff went truly above and beyond to make our stay and vacation great.
We were meeting my family for a holiday. The resort is in a close proximity to the airport (15-20 min drive), which is very nice, especially if you have smaller children. The property is clean and well maintained. We have stayed on the bungalow side. The rooms are decent size. Accommodations are a bit smaller in Europe, so we were not surprised. Front desk was closed upon arrival and departure due to late night/early morning arrivals and departures so we was asked to leave 2 euros for nightly “environmental fee”, we left the 2 euros as asked and was still charged on our invoice for the fee. I know 2 euros isn’t much but taking the cash and still charging us is not right in our opinion
Great centralized location to restaurants and shops
The grounds of the hotel are absolutely beautiful and breath taking, and the gardens beautifully maintained. We had the sea view room which didn’t disappoint - a beautiful view over Agia Galini! We also liked that the hotel was a bit removed from the busy tourist beach, but still easy walk to everything. Room was clean, new, nicely decorated and the bed was super comfortable.
