Stunningly beautiful views. Great food. Next to walking path thru forest next to river. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had a wonderful time in Kranjska Gora and in particular in Garni Hotel Miklic. A literal slice of heaven. Sadly we were only passing through on our way to a wedding in Italy, but after the way we were treated at this place, we are currently planning a full vacation here. We were greeted by the kindest gentleman at the front, and every single person was so kind and helpful. Excellent hotel in quiet Julian Alps, big and clean room, great spa (excellent massage). Ideal for all king of outdoor activities. Breakfast is good. Person at reception speak excellent English, are welcoming and helpful. Would go back again.

The best things about this hotel are that it is a 1-minute walk from Villach HbF; the rooms (at least mine) were clean and quiet, despite proximity to the train (and bus) station; the desk staff was friendly; and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. It's a 10-minute stroll from the old town and the most scenic part of Villach.

Clean comfortable and in a great location

Such a special place. Unbelievable meal at the restaurant, incredibly warm service, so much thoughtfulness all around.

This was a great location for our road trip. The scenery is incredible. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

Right in the town center and very close to the train station. The building is beautiful. The breakfast is wonderful. Of course, as an American with jetlag, i would like coffee in the room. Otherwise perfect!

The staff saved us a ton of money! Explained how to get the evignette through Slovenia, if we hadn't had it in advance for 15 Euro there is over a 300 Euro fee! The breakfast was good, and place a nice stay.

View from the living area is awesome, can see the snow - capped mountains while enjoying your morning coffee. The sauna is a wonderful surprise! Place is very close to Lake Jasna, a very underrated lake in our opinion.

We stayed a total of four nights while hiking in the Julian Alps. The hotel was very accommodating, at one point allowing us to extend an extra night when the weather was bad. The staff (whose English overall was quite good) also helped us change a reservation at one of the mountain huts. The breakfast buffet is generous, and the free wi-fi was easy to use and had a good connection. We would stay at the Kompas again if in KG.

Darling room but small great for a married couple maybe not too great for two single persons sharing Weird food situation They serve breakfast otherwise it’s soup until 6 PM. Not what you call full service Restaurant maybe there’s some lunch. Food is very local if you’re not used to eating heavy Potato laden greasy food it will be difficult. I walked into the little town to eat. But all the personnel, Restaurant hotel everybody was lovely

Hotel is a real 5 star hotel . We stay only two night and we used all the fantastic facility on the thermal spa . The food is fantastic the service at reception great and all the personnel are top class and very friendly .
