One of the most beautiful onsens I have ever been to. As soon as you walk in, there is a sense of calm and quiet elegance. The property is beautifully designed to maximize the view of the lake. Our room consisted of three large sections which can be divided with private screens. The service was outstanding too. Each breakfast and dinner, we dinned in a private room. The buffet was excellent! We had a wonderful view of Lake Akan from our room. The staff was very friendly. An Ainu village was about12 minutes walk away.
One issue we had was the bathroom. It was very small! I am petite and even it was tight for me. Otherwise, everything was great! We like the hotel very much!
The rooftop mixed onsen was a big surprise, but super nice as we don't usually get to be with family members of other sex. (You do provide basic swimwear). It was so nice to look over the lake and just chill out in the onsen upstairs, but the main onsen were also incredible. Food options were plenty in the restaurant (buffet style), and it's so close to the Ainu Kotan... definitely worth a visit!!
We had a wonderful 3-nights stay at Lamp No Yado Moritsubetsu. We were two couples and took two Japanese-style rooms, both of which were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcome from the start. The setting is beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by lush greenery.

It's a quiet, spacious and with lake view room. Enjoy the amenities and the attractions around the lake. There is buffet dinner with fee. It's kind of expensive though.
