"This place has a certain charm because it is smaller and very relaxed as well as 2 to 4 walk to all the restaurants and even the beach. The town is very special in that it is small but has lots of dining options and is located about 200 meters from the beach. Rooms are smallish but adequate."

"Nice balcony, which I couldn't use because smoking was apparently allowed and the cigarette smoke spread to my balcony and into the room when my neighbor smoked on his balcony! Strange that, in 2025, smoking is still allowed in the hotel."

"Vi hadde én natt i badehus, vi hadde egentlig bestilt dobbeltrom, men eier var så snill og oppgraderte oss! Det var rent og trivelig i badehuset, med en behagelig seng. "We had a great (3-nights) stay at Strandhotellet. It is a lovely stylish hotel with a quaint atmosphere, and a short walk to the beach and restaurants. "Hotel Phønix is a simple old hotel. No elevator, the floor squeaks and the breakfast is basic. But all in all quite nice, don’t expect the grand experience, the hotel isn’ttrying to be anything else than it is. I do recommend for a short stay if you don’t plan to use the hotel as special part of your vacation."
