"A very nice hotel at a very fair price. We did make an error in not checking the location. It is about 30 minutes out of central Kurashiki. This required a local train which runs every 30 mins or so. There were some restaurants close by and we both enjoyed the Onsen baths. So swings and roundabouts but enjoyed our stay."

We were able take 3 separate ferry trips and visit 2 places within Okayama on our 6 night stay.
