I loved this place from the minute I walked in the door! Will definitely be back for a longer stay!

We stayed a week and the staff was incredibly accommodating. At the restaurant they were able to work with our dietary restrictions, for morning hikes when we would miss hikes they arranged a takeaway bag for us to take in the morning. Very clean space and great views.

Amazing property with excellent staff. The room was incredibly efficient, clean, and cozy. Great view of the water. Staff was very friendly and attentive to all of our needs. We would definitely stay there again. It was so lovely!

This was a perfect location for a stay in Madiera. Nice view, free parking, and all the amenities anyone could want in the room. So many thoughtful extras like wine, bottled water, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, washing machine and drying rack, etc. I would definitely stay again.

I really really enjoyed my stay. Hotel was clean and quiet and served my needs perfectly. Hotel staff was able to arrange for a rental car for me when I arrived to the hotel. Free parking was very limited but, I was always able to find paid street parking not far from the hotel. So not really a big deal. The hotel staff are superb. A special acknowledgement to Barbara Gomez who is so kind, professional, always had a smile on her face and offered great suggestions for things to do in Madeira...

The location was very convenient for trips to both the coast and inside of the island, a straight shot from the airport but still quiet, safe and secluded. The property was sparkling clean, including grounds and swimming pools. 24 hrs front desk, quickly responsive to requests such as extra patio chair or ironing equipment. Plenty of lounge chairs available with or without sunshade around the immaculately clean pools. Food variety at each meal included vegetarian, gluten and lactose free...

Definitely a dated place, but great accommodations and LOVED the pool. Staff was also super friendly!

The room was clean, updated, and bright, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and perfectly sufficient to start the day. Parking was easy, and the garden was beautiful, which added to the overall atmosphere. The entire stay was very relaxing. Perfect location. Great breakfast. Easy parking. Great services. Very clean and safe. Hot tub and pool were welcome after long hard hike in mountains of Madeira. Walkable area.

It was a good decision chooosing to stay out of the City of Funchal and stay at this charming hotel with tranquil atmosphere that i feel well rested during my 4 night stay. The Staff were very friendly especially at the Restaurant, clean and spacious room, comfy bed, and it's also a big plus with Restaurant: serving good and traditional food. The Pestana is an excellent hotel facing the ocean. From our room we had an excellent view to the hotel pools and gardens and to the ocean. It was like being in the middle of the sea. Service was excellent and the staff incredibly helpful and nice. We had breakfast included and, leaving at 3:00 a.m., they offered to bring tea or coffee to our room. We accepted and we had a complete continental breakfast brought to our room at 2:00 a.m. at no charge. The hotel has beautiful outdoors/indoors...

Amazing staff with a great location only a few blocks away from the main city center. The pool on the roof has an amazing view for days where you’d like to take a break and relax. The breakfast is solid. Make sure to reserve parking as there are limited spots!!!
