The small hotel is at the northern end of the medieval square of Bechyne on the opposite side from the chateau. Bechyne is a medieval town on the ridge above a deep river valley, almost ideally in the center of southern Bohemia that has many charms and lots of history. The room itself was fine...modest. The cuisine and the meals in the hotel's restaurant were superb. The quality was that of a fine gourmet restaurant, but with popular prices.
