This was my first time in Italy and first time in Europe in 24 years. I chose this place because of the location not being close to the city and the great amenities. Located in a nice little town of 122 people with its own church next door, this hotel was perfect.

This place is a must stay if you are in Gubbio. The facilities are fantastic, the owners and staff are terrific. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The view from the room was amazing.

About 20 minutes drive outside of Gubbio and up a mountain, the Castello provides a unique hotel stay. Our room was in a building inside the walls. This hotel was in a wonderful location. It was a stone's throw away from the city center, but far enough away that you weren't disturbed by noise. The breakfast was good, the room spacious, clean and the shower was perfect. There was always coffee in the morning and be sure to stop by the restaurant for authentic Italian cuisine.
