"Lovely hotel. We had a room for 3 of us and a dog and was really spacious. Breakfast selection was great and plenty of space in the bar restaurant each evening/morning. Walking distance to the town centre and the river. Our only complaint was how hot the room was even though none of the radiators were on. But we just left the window open all day and it was a much more comfortable temperature. "

"Upon arrival at the Grantham Arms, we were welcomed warmly by staff. The atmosphere was friendly and cheerful on the Saturday before Christmas. Our room was well-appointed and very cosy. The decor was stylish and comfortable with plenty of cushions and good quality bed linen and towels. There were lots of extras - we particularly liked the biscuits - and the tea and coffee making facilities were great. The room and en suite shower room were both extremely clean and we felt that the standard of housekeeping was especially high. good bedside tables, a dressing table, two chairs and a wardrobe offered ample furnishings. A lovely, cosy room only lacking a window. The lights seemed to be quite dim and, without natural light in the room, it would have been great to have brighter lights. That's just a minor point, as we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return. "

"Everything was outstanding. We loved our stay. The hotel and restaurant were decorated beautifully for Christmas, which made it even more special. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced, breakfast was also plentiful and of good quality. All the staff from reception, bar and restaurant were friendly, professional and courteous. We would definitely stay here again."
