8/10 Good

"A quaint, quirky hotel that is still living off the fact that Rock Hudson, Liz Taylor and James Dean stayed there while filming the movie GIANT in 1955. I'm not joking. A movie made 70+ years ago! That said, if u want to feel like u stayed in a "historic" place u probably won't be disappointed. If ur looking for luxury, or say, a bathroom bigger than 20 square feet, this isn't for u. The location is great as u can walk to a decent spot for breakfast (The Sentinal) or dinner (Margaret's). Staff was friendly and the place was clean. For one night in Marfa...why not?"

"Absolutely beautiful hotel! We stayed at room #5 which was a stand alone unit so it was basically like a little apartment. It had a beautiful interior and a fully stocked kitchen as well. The owner Jantzen was super friendly and helpful. The whole property was gorgeous. The next we come to Marfa we will be staying here again for sure!"

"The continental breakfast was depleted by 9 o’clock when it was supposed to continue until 930. Food had to be brought back to the room to eat as there was only one small table in that area, no TV. There is also a spider on the floor of the room that was the size of a tarantula No extra blankets or pillows were available in the room and the bed was very uncomfortable, the mattress was so old it still has springs in it. The check in was completed by a child. Very overpriced."
