Staff were excellent, food was great! For customer service and food, this is one of the best places in DR. Bubble is a nice novelty - bed is excellent, bath terrific. It is not camping - it is practically a luxury hotel room! The 2.5 stars doesn't do this justice. If you are interested in star gazing there is a telescope in the room but you'll have to figure out how to stop the condensation. I'm sure the staff can explain you. Very clean and professionally operated hotel. Lots of security around the clock and we’ll illuminated at night. Only con is the street noise from motorcycles (which is never ending). The room we had was ocean view and Configured so when you closed the interior bedroom door you don’t hear any noise. Suggest you make sure your room allows for this. this is our second time to DR, first time at Valero. We loved it. The location is perfect,removed from the "masses" just up the beach but easily accessible with a 5 minute beach walk. We rented a room (with bathroom). The hosts were awesome. Ready to prepare us food or drinks and provide any information about the local areas. Its right on the highway so you can exit the front door and take a Guagua or motoconcho. It is more of a hostel style. Its not a fancy hotel. The rooms had 2 fans which more than adequate, electricity 24/7 and FAST!!!! internet. I needed to work while staying there and it was quiet (except for a chicken with attitude). Slightly off the main, busy part of the Playa Cabarete. A slight bit of a hike (10 to 15 minutes) to where most of the restaurants and grocery stores, kite/wing schools/rentals are, but I appreciate the quietness and security the place has to offer. The facility is modern, clean and well kept. Will definitely stay here again.

We had an amazing stay at the surf lodge! Super friendly staff, delicious breakfast options included. The hotel rooms were impeccable clean. Nice pool area to relax. The surf breaks was pumping!!!! Take lessons with Parallel Surf - 100% recommended. Gonna be back soon!

My stay at Garden By The Sea was outstanding . The location is quiet, safe, close to town and the beach . The staff was courteous, friendly and helpful . The room was cozy and clean . Nikki is a wonderful host . Very professional . She was able to help me with all my vacation needs , renting a vehicle, banking , phone calls , dining , night life , etc. . Breakfast was delicious . I will definitely be going back .

Stayed here many times , same employees . Only thing I can not get used to is no housekeeping and have to pay when you want clean towels ( 5 US dollars ). But everything is great , just overlook the loud traffic

What a delightful place! It is tucked at the end of a street that doesn’t look all that great, but enter through the gate and you are in a beautiful oasis. The rooms are lovely, the grounds are beautiful, and the breakfast was an extra bonus. I absolutely loved this place and Dani, was amazing to communicate with and so helpful. And, I loved the kayaks on the river/lagoon right at the edge of the property!
