"Fantastic hotel. The room is modern and spotlessly clean. Amazing shower. Perfect location next to two beautiful plazas and within walking distance of the castle and the triumphal arch. Staff are friendly, professional and helpful. Miguel delivered a beautiful cake for my birthday and recommended a lovely restaurant for dinner. The staff at check in and check out we're helpful and friendly and made the experience a pleasure. The custard tart and port at check in was much appreciated. The lady on check out spotted my fellas Monty Python T-shirt which was lovely. "

"Great location and the history of the building itself was amazing. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish there was a bar area to sit at and meet other travelers, but they did have a small bar set up in the lobby and there are comfortable areas to sit at. They are able to help you with tour information. The breakfast is amazing!"

"There was a overwhelming smell of bleach. I work in the NHS and it reminded me of the way hospitals used to smell. The staff were all polite and helpful, but 45 minutes wait for breakfast and was told there was still two orders in front of ours. This could've been a temporary staff member, because nobody takes 40 minutes to make 4 omelettes."

"Locke De Santa Joana is a perfect place to stay when visiting Lisboa. Great location! Accomodations are very nice...my studio included a full kitchenette with cooktop, oven, sink, dishwasher, fridge, and a washer / dryer. On site restaurants were very good and the front desk staff were very accommodating, courteous, and helpful. There is a gallery with some beautiful artifacts that were discovered during the development of the property (?). I will be returning to Lisboa in a few days and I am looking forward to staying at this hotel again. I give it 5 stars."

"The hotel was well located if you appreciate a very active street performance situation. The beds were nice but the other furniture was quite worn. Oddly the room itself was not level. There was a clear and distinct slant inward that very obvious. There was also a type of breaker box at the door that had to periodically be flipped to run electricity to the outlets that the TV and hot pot were plugged into. "

"The location of this hotel is fantastic--on Rossio Square with plenty of nearby restaurants. The breakfast was excellent. The best part of thus hotel, however, is the staff. Everyone we came in contact with--front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping--went out if their way to help us. I cannot praise the staff sufficiently. Thank you for a wonderful stay!"

"Loved the design and ethos of this place which provided a great base for exploring Lisbon for a few days. It’s a 15 minute walk to all the action and a few minutes from some decent cafes and bars. Close to tram stops and it’s easy for taxis to pull up right outside. Rooms are well designed with nice touches such as Bluetooth music, coffee stations and water jugs. Shower worked well. Opted to have breakfast here only one day - very average but good value for money. Would happily stay again and recommend to others looking for something different. "
