We stayed at both the Tanjung Rhu resort in the north and the Riyaz Lavanya. We are a family of 3. This hotel had a very spacious 2 bedroom unit with washer. It was located near restaurants and the beach. Only downside was the lack of a view from our room and this is a busier side of town. The hotel staff were wonderful and the rooms were newer and very clean. The only reason we wouldn’t stay here again is because we enjoyed the north side of Langkawi more than the south side.
