Jack tree lodge is a nice place to stay, the owner is very nice and the staff too, we felt home. They offered breakfast every morning. The location is a 15 minutes walk from the city which was better for us. The rooms have a nice view.
The only disadvantage in Kandy is that almost everything closes around 10 pm so nothing much to do or places to eat.
The stay was great! Only spent one night, the hotel staff was amazing, the room was beautiful, they made us feel at home. The only down fall is that they don't have more pictures. Book this hotel even though you can't see the hotel. The setting makes it feel as though you are removed from everything! Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Summit Hotel in Kandy. The decor all throughout the property has been thoughtfully put together.
The room was lovely and very spacious, with an amazing view that made the stay extra special. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful — Pradeep and the rest of the team truly went out of their way to assist us with anything we needed.

Besides the long steps up to our room, this was a very pleasant stay for my sisters and I. The owner was very nice and welcomed us. The property has such a beautiful view. Just an excellent, excellent stay from start to finish in this historic Colonial building. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and the team really just was top notch and really cared about quality of food. The loft was a hit with the kids and the fine correction of loose tea was very much appreciated. We only stayed one night due to our itinerary, but would have loved to have stayed longer. The kids dipped their legs in the pool, but also didn't have the chance to swim due to time constraints....
Great place to stay, the rooms are very nice and this was the first place I stayed at in Sri Lanka that had hot water in the shower. Also, I dropped a 5000 rupee bill on the staircase and an employee returned it to me. I will stay here again if I go back to Kandy
