"We have had a great time at Pena Park Hotel. Definitely recommend, good food, friendly and helpful staff. We had few activities booked at the nearby Pena Aventura and it was quite relaxing to go back to the hotel and relax by the swimming pool. We will definitely go back! "Our stay was relaxing and enjoyable. A slight delay with check in at 3pm. Our room wasn’t ready til after 4pm. I suppose it is to be expected in peak summer season. They stored our bags and we had a quick swim. Our luggage was delivered to our room and we received a bottle of wine in our room chilled ready to enjoy. The room was fabulous with gorgeous views of the Douro Valley, and the pool area relaxing. Room service was delicious and convenient. The staff were very helpful and accommodating to all of our requests. A special mention on the excellent service of Rui Cardoso. We booked a wine and cheese tasting experience on our first day. Thank you Rui for explaining all the different cheese and wine pairings. Thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was extravagant with a wide variety of food and beverages and a great coffee machine. Delicious. Plenty of car-parking available. Thanks for a great stay. "
