"Breakfast was a fantastic buffet. Staff was attentive and helpful. Added bonus of having a shuttle to the beach. My only complaint was that the shuttle driver was not very professional. Driving too fast, swerving around other drivers and continually swearing profanities. I expect a certain level of professionalism from all staff. "
"One night family stay. Location is excellent for those who need to be close to the airport. Make no mistake: the sea and the town are very far and you need a car and google maps if you stay at this hotel AND also want to enjoy the movida in alghero or a swim in the beautiful sea.
In Sardinian style, staff are friendly and welcoming: that's certainly one of the highlights.
Ordinary rooms are rather small and if you have many pieces of luggage they may not be ideal.
Plus, one of two glitches was that there wasn't hot water in our room when we came in, but upon flagging at reception this was promptly fixed.
More positively, our room was cool enough overnight (in August in Sardinia !), so much so we had to switch off the air conditioning.
The second glitch was when we sat for dinner: it took a bit for our order to be taken (and the restaurant wasn't fully booked either), but luckily the food came in quickly enough. It was only two of us and we ordered very little anyway, so I can't claim we tested the restaurant particularly hard.
One small issue we had (though not with the hotel management): young children waking up early in the morning and believing the whole world should wake up with them. Rooms are very close to each other, so easy to be woken up by the noise outside.
An idea might be to distribute a kind reminder for parents of young kids that other customers might wish to enjoy a good sleep at all times.
Overall, given our short stay I'd recommend the hotel."
"While the property is in a great location right at the centre of Stintino, it requires major improvements. It is listed as bed and breakfast, but it does not offer breakfast, neither does it offer a place where you can make yourself a tea or coffee, in or outside the room. You have to go the bar next door which charged different prices for the same items in different days. The room was clean, despite the smell of pipes and chemicals. It was probably cleaned with bleach, which was fine for us, but left a strong smell throughout the stay. We could not leave the window widely open to protect our privacy as it was facing the street and the room was small so air could not circulate much. The decoration of the room was basic and clearly repurposed, and lacked appropriate maintenance: old hangers, small old wall mirror, towels. There were rusty bits in many of the items, and the towels were stained and got smelly after the first use. Sound insulation internal to the property is not appropriate. We could hear everything from the corridor and nearby rooms: toilets flushing, showers, conversations etc, meaning that we felt our privacy was also affected. Overall our stay was far from being pleasant and relaxing and although we appreciated the good location, we did not feel it was good value for money. "
"Consider renting one with AC during the summer, the heat can be difficult to handle.
Also keep in mind that you will not have housekeeping unless you stay over 9 nights.
There’s not a lot of flexibility on check in.
Still, the place is a corner of paradise, beautiful!"
