Indulge Restaurant was great for dinner. They have gluten free options if needed. The Red Silo Coffee shop was great. We enjoyed walking the town and along the creek that runs through town and walking to The Colorado School of Mines. Very walkable.

Coming from Seattle looking for quiet mountain town experience as a home-base for our planned concert at Red Rocks, this was absolutely perfect. Plenty to do for outdoorsy folk, plenty to do for shopping and dining, late night bites and drinks plenty

Very walkable area, convenient to many different types of restaurants, bars, shops, and parks. Not very busy this time of year (April). Small businesses in the area were all very friendly, especially Golden Sweets and the Windy Saddle Cafe.

Golden is a clean small college town. It helps that its students are mostly STEM type, e.g. math engineering computer science and that clean cut mentality pervades in the area.

Fantastic town - felt very safe. Really enjoyed every experience we had during our visit. Only thing I wish is that we had more time :)
"Check in was very welcoming. Matthew at from desk was great. Evening milk & cookies was a fun amenity.
Very walkable downtown area.
Parking is exhorbitantly expensive at the hotel. Plenty of other nearby garages available."
"Big hotel not to far from downtown. Easy check in. Great fresh cookies on arrival. Elevators were tiny and very busy st peak times. Bar and restaurants on site was great."
"The staff are very friendly and get you checked in quick. Place is very clean and well kept. Only thing I would say is don’t use the valet parking as it’s easy and cheaper to park at a parking garage across the street "
