This is a unique, historical city with great restaurants and lots to explore! Definitely spend time here before gift to Machu Picchu, to adjust to the altitude and relax into the Peruvian atmosphere. Jack's restaurant and Jill's are good and close!

I was in Cusco for 3 days and wish I had at least 6 to explore everything. This was my favorite stop in all of Peru! If you can, take extra time here to explore, but also give yourself a few days to acclimate to the elevation before any big hikes.

I believe many people visit Cusco before/after they visit Macchu Picchu, but Cusco has a lot to offer, too. I enjoyed visiting Pre Columbian Museum and the view from Mirador de San Cristobal was amazing. The restaurants were excellent as well.

Cusco is a beautiful city with lots to see and do. If planning to see many of the sites, get the integral tourist ticket and I would recommend a taxi up to Saccsayhuaman or Q'enqo and can walk down. Don't miss Sacred Valley as well.

Cusco is a very special city. The landscape is beautiful and the history is fascinating. It's a fairly peaceful town with lots of good vibrations. I can understand why the Incan Empire chose it for their Kings!

There's a lot of history in and around Cusco. It's worth taking a few tours. The square really came alive at night. We felt very safe walking around day or night. Cusco is a very clean city.

We hope to return to Cusco one day. It's a wonderful city with beautiful scenery, amazing food and art and a lovely, festive feel.
"Without a doubt it’s the best hotel in the historic center of Cusco. Have been in Cusco more than 10 times and have stayed in many other hotels and this is definitely the best! Very friendly staff, very clean, delicious breakfast and very convenient location. "
"It’s out of the tourist area and need to take an uber to the square but it was a good hotel with comfy beds, hot water and good breakfast. If you’re looking for something that’s walkable this may not be for you but otherwise great place!"
"Beautiful hotel in the middle of Yucay, staff was for the most part very friendly, just one time we encountered an unfriendly waiter during our dinner service. Breakfast was amazing!! A lot of options including an egg station. There was a wedding during our stay which made it noisy that one night but other than that, great stay"
"Very beautiful property with Spanish court yard, only 6-7 walk to the main square, breakfast and very friendly staff standing by 24 hrs. A lot of nice restaurants just around the corner."
"Two of us stayed at this beautiful place for 3 nights and couldn’t be more happy with it! After a long day trekking, coming to a room that had a rainfall shower head and fluffy sheets was truly the perfect way to unwind. The service was excellent and was very accommodating to anything we needed. The location could not be more ideal - it is placed within a block of nightlife or the Plaza de Armas where there are many beautiful and delicious dining options with views of the Cathedral. The decor was welcoming and beautiful with hot tea or coffee awaiting you to heat you up from the cold . We cannot recommend it enough !"
