Tap water is not drinkable & no bottle water was provided without a cost. The air conditioning didn’t work well. Staff were helpful in arranging our early morning taxi to the airport."

"My daughter and I stayed at the Aquila Atlantis Hotel during our visit to Heraklion. While it didn't have the unique character and intimate atmosphere of some of the boutique hotels we stayed at elsewhere in Greece, it was still a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The hotel's biggest strengths are its location and amenities. It was easy to walk to many of Heraklion's attractions, restaurants, and the waterfront, making it a good base for exploring the city. The property is modern, well-maintained, and offers the services and facilities you would expect from a larger hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable, and spacious enough for our needs. The staff was professional and helpful throughout our stay, and check-in and check-out were both smooth and efficient. For travelers looking for a full-service hotel in a central location, Aquila Atlantis is a solid choice. It may not offer the charm, history, or personalized feel of a boutique property, but it delivers what it promises: a comfortable stay, good service, and a convenient location for exploring Heraklion. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to visitors who prefer a larger hotel experience or need a convenient base before exploring the rest of Crete."

"Atrion was an excellent location for us!! We found the staff to be overwhelmingly friendly and helpful, from the Front Desk to the breakfast and housekeeping staff. The hotel was clean and well-maintained and was very comfortable. Importantly, there were several power outlets as well. The safe was newer and was very easy to operate. I would gladly return and have no hesitation in recommending it highly. A huge “Thank You” to all the staff at Hotel Atrion!!"

"Beyond being close to the port, this hotel is simply a series of unfortunate events - the room smelt of smoke, there was old trash in the garbage can, water pooling in the shower, mold on the ceiling of the bathroom, and the vinyl covering of the table on the balcony shed on me. "This was a wonderful hotel! It’s beautiful and comfortable, and the staff was genuinely friendly and incredibly helpful. They accommodated our early check-in, offered excellent recommendations, and even stored our luggage for the full day after checkout while we were on an all-day excursion. The lobby bar is a great spot to relax, and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. We had a rental car, the hotel doesn’t have on-site parking but is conveniently located right across the street from a public garage that offers a nice daily discount for hotel guests. We would definitely recommend this hotel — it made our stay in Heraklion smooth and enjoyable!"
