Really enjoyed all the things Eugene offered. Lots of good shopping, restaurants and farmers market. Public transit was convenient and many times there were officers on the bus. Lots of homeless folks but never felt unsafe. It is easy to walk around.

Definitely would encourage visitors to forgo the car and get around town using bikeshare. We biked to neighboring Springfield, to Autzen stadium, along the Willamette river, and to Skinner Butte where we enjoyed a short hike to the top.

I ran up Skinner Butte and on Pre's Trail and saw a Eugene Emeralds game, and barely scratched the surface of Eugene.

Eugene is a cute college town with great parks and restaurants. Like all cities, they have a big unhoused population. I am not aware of the city's efforts, or lack there of, with this issue. It's a challenge everywhere these days. Felt safe.

Eugene is cut into piece by the major roads, so study the map in advance, so that you know what "quadrant" you are trying to get to. I think its the 2nd largest city in Oregon, so they have anything you are looking for somewhere in town.

It is a small town with a big college. A great place to visit if an event is scheduled in Eugene, but I do not think I would just come on vacation. It is a college town with good food and pretty scenery.

Eugene is a great town. Small yet with bigger city offerings. Tons of restaurants. Small businesses and large box stores. Incredible parks.
"All the staff is very friendly and accommodating. We got in early from Los Angeles and they were able to check us in a little early. Nice snacks every morning. Coffee really good and all day. Water bottles on demand. Housecleaning are all super friendly and helpful. Really close walk to civic center. Really a nice visit to Campus Inn. They just need to fix the AC plug outlets…several plugs just fell right out. We’ll definitely be back. Great job!"
"The TV was hard to figure out but the staff came and happily sorted it for me. good shower. i slept well after a very hard day. check out was fast with no surprises. buns and coffee were adequate to gwt me to breakfast."
