Didn't see much as we were mostly in a town 20 miles East. But went to Mass at St. Mary's Historic Cathedral and the community there was very special! Very nice coffee shop not far away. The downtown area looked like it would've been fun to explore

Grand Island is easy to navigate and has many dining/ shopping options. It's a great place to stop in the middle of a long drive, if you're willing to go a few miles off of the interstate.

We've been to Grand Island several times to see the migration of the sandhill cranes. EVERYONE should give themselves the pleasure -- March 1 - April 15. You'll be glad you did. Amazing sight! Dress warm! Stay at this hotel!
