"This is my go-to hotel when I'm in San Rafael. They are renovating the rooms and the common areas and bringing back the bar, which will be so cool. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, bathrooms are clean, wifi is strong, staff is great. There's a lovely bakery next door that I recommend as well."

"Wharf Inn was the perfect spot for our San Francisco adventure! The location was ideal - steps away from Pier 39, delicious food, and those iconic cable cars. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Loved waking up to the sounds of the sea lions and the bustling wharf. Highly recommend. "

"Friendly staff, nice and clean rooms, breakfast was very good and reasonably priced compared with hotel brands I’ve been to before (similar to Hilton Garden Inn). Hotel was a Four Points but is experiencing a rebranding. My group also loved the hot tub and pool, and they said the burger from the Tavern was a hit! Very great place to stay if visiting San Rafael or just passing through on 101. I’d definitely book again in the future. "

"What a beautiful little garden gem near the Palace of Fine Arts! Older motel that has been cleaned and upgraded without losing the vintage charm. Staff was very warm, welcoming and fun! Small room in a garage apartment setting that was simply charming and delightful. The gardens were beautiful and lush and well cared for. Parking is rough for larger modern cars and was a challenge to get in and out of but come on, it was parking in San Francisco! Convenient and close to coffee houses,...

"Parking was safe secure and with ease. Lots of shops, restaurants, coffee places, parks and beautiful views nearby. Not to mention San Francisco "crookedest street in the world" is on Lombard Street, the same street as the hotel. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Rooms are very cozy but would be more comfortable if the hotel would change its old rug. Overall, I would definitely stay here again whenever I visit San Francisco."
