"Lovely hotel, rooms spacious and clean with the usual toiletries, tea, coffee etc. Great breskfast. We had a room with a balcony, overlooking the sea, what a fab view even in March! There is a club next door but that wasn't a problem as we did not have the door open and it shuts at midnight. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room away from that side. Would definitely book again!"

"Lovely hotel. Room very spacious and clean. Incredibly comfy bed. My daughter and I really enjoyed the pool. Only thing that let the visit down was the room was very cold and a draft was coming from the window. Carpark was also like an ice rink, could have done with better gritting. "

The parking was fantastic value - £5 for 24hrs and an easy walk to The Stadium of Light mainly along a pedestrian route. Definitely great value and superb staff."

"A lovely flat close to all the amenities and transport hubs in Sunderland. Only a 20min walk to the Stadium of Light if you are going to the football. There is a great curry house just next door and a Wetherspoon across the road for breakfast. "

"Lights tripped twice on arrival, fan in bathroom very noisy. Lack of power points by bed. Didn’t replenish any tea, milk or toilet rolls. Windows didn’t open or close properly which meant you could hear everything on the street. Location excellent, very good shower and nice big room. Hallway smells divine. "

"Had a lovely stay (5 nights) at the Old Rectory. Room was spotless, quiet and had a very safe feel. Was visiting friends and family in the area so the location was perfect particularly as the metro to Newcastle railway station is so close. Will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended."
