"This hotel is in a perfect location for walking around Salem. Close to dining and shopping, the state Capitol, and the Riverfront. The buffet breakfast is impressive. Our room was large and comfortable with all the usual amenities. When we visit Salem, we make a point to stay at The Grand Hotel."

"For my purpose of visiting my son at Willamette University this property worked fine. It was an easy 4 blocks to his house and 6-7 blocks from campus. The price was very reasonable as well. And thy had a lot of channel choices on the TV which I appreciated. On the downside my room was a non-smoking room but smelled like tobacco smoke and the bed spread had several cigarette burn holes in it. "Rooms were nice. Hot water dissipates pretty quick in shower. Cable tv is pretty sad with constant pausing and blurry screen. For the price compared to others in Salem its good. Breakfast is a plus!"
